Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Seabrook

Not the best of experiences. After a 13 hour day I was famished and in need of nourishment and a good beverage. I checked the website for hours of operation and found that Chili’s was open on Wednesday night until 10:00! Score, right? I stopped in at about 7:00 or 7:30 PM and figured that I had plenty of time. I am one that is sensitive to being a late patron and didn't want to hinder a hardworking person that is trying to end their day. I would would have hit McDonald’s instead so I wouldn’t be that nuisance PITA. I sat and was offered a drink and then a menu. With drink order placed and food on the way the bartender then seemed to be in a hurry and started packing up the bar. Food finally came and as I was eating my dinner the floor mats were being dragged up like the place was about to close at any second. I was never offered another beverage until after my meal was finished. It was rather long wait before my plate was cleared and I asked for a beer because I was terribly thirsty from not having a beverage with dinner. I slammed down the beer and got out by 8:30. I just don’t know why a business would advertise later hours but then pack up an hour and a half before the advertised closing time. I get table top and bar top cleaning but the whole floor mat thing disgusted me as I was eating. I feel a bit bad leaving a poor review because who knows, there could be an underlying story here. I went to this chilis on Veterans Day and first of all the special menu was a disappointment All that was offered on the” special menu “. was basically appetizers 3 chicken tenders, Chicken Quesadillas soup & salad and I can’t remember what the other option was but wow ! Thanks for nothing!! The Waitress was great but I ended up getting the Chicken Quesadillas but then ordered something else from the menu . It was a special 3 for 19 where you get a beverage a entree and a bowl of soup or salad and my husband ordered the same For the 3 for $19 we both ordered the classic margarita which cost an up charge of $3.49 each which was very sweet and of course made with the cheapest tequila then my husband ordered the potato soup and Secret Sauce Burger the burger was good but the soup came out cold I ordered the Cilantro Lime Carne Asada and the Clam chowder the Cilantro Lime Carne asada was cold and the carne asada was all fat horrible I ended up eating half of my husbands burger . The waitress was great and noticed we did not eat our soups and we advised they were both cold and my carne asada was just a piece of fat inedible we were comped for our meals but that’s not the point ! First point is if you’re going to honor a veteran honor us properly or just DONT BOTHER. If we had an Applebees close by we would have gone there at least they offer a few meals mot appetizers!! I have to say, our Seabrook NH Chili's Restaurant has kinda gone down hill (from when it first open over a decade now.) Where the service is excellent. With a friendly and timely staff. The food choices seem great as advertised on television and other media. Yet once you read the menu you may be less than impressed. The prices are very high for a standard bar & grill type restaurant. The taste and quality is average. The food isn't amazing not horrible. The drinks on the other hand are very good. Many a variety of unique Margaritas and other mixed drinks choices. The bartenders are very accommodating to special requests. The prices of alcoholic beverage is the standard norm. I would say if you are going Chili's for the bar vs. the grill its worth a stop. If you are going as a family or with friend's. expecting to be amazed by a quality meal for the most bang for buck, id skip and head to the 99 bar & grill down the road on rt one. If you want spicy, quality, quantity, variety, real margaritas with a great family atmosphere at a good price. Hit up the mexican restaurant Casa Tequila. Rt one Lafayette rd. In seabrook NH.
