Horrible experience last night while trying to enjoy a family night out for pizza and fireworks. We were rudely approached by the hostess and waitress to get up from the table because we ordered a pie from the window and not from her. We offered to purchase drinks and other items but she refused. After 5 minutes of her arguing with us the gentleman behind the counter told us we were allowed to sit there. He also explained to us that Marucas makes all the food for JR’s and it wouldn’t be an issue for us to sit there for pizza. While trying to enjoy the pizza, the waitress proceed to hover over us with her arms crossed, staring at us while we eat. I find this very unprofessional of her. Also, there was no line or a single person waiting to be seated outside with four other empty tables available, so what was the point in making a paying customer feel uncomfortable, knowing you could have made a few bucks on drinks and a tip. After all of this nonsense, we still out of the kindness of our hearts, gave the waitress a tip after proceeding to carry on again and she was still unappreciative. As a local in the area, I will not be going back...
Read more@Dan Afonso. No, you really shouldn't go on. You seem to have had a bad experience at the establishment in the last week, but you give no details, while being out of step with the hundreds of others of reviews. Your inference is ridiculous; really, think about it. Don't go on, Dan. And by the way, these are tough times. Every restaurant in America is fighting to find a new way to deliver their services. Or just to survive. Not just for themselves, but for those they employ. Don't go on, Dan, to further trash a landmark establishment that has been around for probably 50 years or more, and that happens to serve up incredible Maruca's pizza on the side, in these days of masks, gloves, physical distancing, fear, and reserve, with nothing to back it...
Read moreI get to Jr's for a guys night out, the bouncer says "you can't get in with a white tee". Ok no problem I go to my car and grab a flannel shirt to cover up. Meanwhile after about an hour or 2 goes by...there's about 10 Caucasian white males in the club in there with plain white tees...I walked outside to talk to my other friend. I then decided to take my flannel off as an experiment...the same bouncer still says I can't come in...but I saw a Caucasian male behind him in a plain white tee so I called him on it...the bouncer pretended to fake talk to him and said I still had to cover up.... I am disgusted with this behavior I would never ever go to this bar ever again just from how I was...
