I have to say we were so excited to try Maruca's because of their excellent reviews and we also thought the pizza looked really similar to another Boardwalk pizza style we love from South Jersey. I will say the appearance was the only similarity. Maruca's Pizza came to us via Goldbelly. We followed the instructions precisely and would tell you that the pizza was really average at best. This is disappointing for the amount paid for the product! The instructions don't seem to be correct either for how to heat the pizza-- having been in the business myself for quite a few years prior to going back to my Corporate job, I know my way around a pizza oven and making pies. The instructions are to make sure the pizza is completely thawed and heat for about 10 minutes at 350-- I questioned it when I did this, but followed the instructions. Needless to say, the pizza was not the least bit crispy as a result. I made the second one today and did it at 425 for 9 minutes and it was better in terms of the crispiness. Overall, this pizza was really average to below average and we would not recommend to any of our friends who...

ive gone to marucas for years and its always been a favorite pizza place of mine but when i went today I was so disappointed with there lack of mask and the people who werent social distancing. it was really gross to me that the bartender and the waitress who were serving and handling to food and drinks didnt wear mask because while were in a pandemic I dont want to risk getting covid 19 and thats a huge issue for me in terms of my health.even though there werent alot of people when i went theres still no excuse for not wearing a mask during the pandemic. I have nothing personal against the waitresses or the food the pizza was delicious and they were very polite but what I just mentioned about is what i really wanted to address here. as a customer it would make me feel alot more comfortable in the future if the staff was wearing mask and when handling or serving food and drinks if they were wearing gloves too. and i suggest that you get some sort of glass or acrylic wall around your bar area to take extra precautions and if you could enforce more social distancing in your restaurant that...

This is a special kind of place when you see the two Maruca brothers still there actively working their place after all these years. They care about the quality and their customers. The pizza was nothing short of excellent. Cheese on the bottom and sauce on the top. I can’t imagine they are in the kitchen crushing fresh tomatoes but I would believe it if someone told me. The sauce taste very fresh, not over seasoned, just excellent. The cheese was not greasy, the crust was crispy and tasty. We drove an hour and a half to walk the boardwalk but this pizza was the highlight of the trip. In addition very fast service, servers were friendly and one of the brothers came out to talk to us when he found out our son had food allergies to reassure us his food would not be contaminated. The pizza was the highlight but we also got sausage pep/onions, fries and fried calamari,...

What perfect timing for pizza on the Boardwalk. The day was warm and gorgeous, the beer cold and the pizza was crispy and delicious. Just for fun, we added an Italian Hot Dog with the works and a very generous order of fries. This place gets crowded in the summer, but today there was no wait. Street parking was easy and free (until April). There’s bingo every Sunday. The hostess and waitress were friendly and attentive. It was super fun! We walked the boardwalk afterwards. The restaurant is accessible, one can also order at the windows and take the food to nearby tables.

We go to Seaside every summer & always get this pizza. there are many options for pizza on the boardwalk, but this steals the show for me. it’s not as heavy as traditional pie that is fully covered with cheese, but the sauce isn’t overwhelming. i will continue to eat at Maruca’s for many years to come. it’s on the boardwalk, so parking is available on the street nearby or at the end of the boardwalk. plenty of tables to sit inside, some outside, even bar seating.
