TL;DR: messed up first drink. I asked for different milk (offered to pay extra too) on the redo but lady said no, obviously to avoid any additional effort on their part. Drove away, cup had hole, spilled everywhere, called, would not refund unless I spent 30 mins and 18 miles to drive all the way back there, nope.
Ordered two blended drinks and something went awry with one of them so they said they had to remake it. Verbatim:
Me: if it's not too late, may I please make a change to that drink? Her: No, it's an extra charge and I already rang it up. Me: I would be happy to pay for the extra charge if that's okay. Her: There's no way for me to charge just for the different milk on the computer. Me: Oh... okay. Her: Well I mean I guess I could void out the entire transaction and then charge the whole thing all over again. ((with an attitude like the effort involved would be worse than Sisyphus' rock))((and only one other car in line with 3 baristas on duty so time wasn't that much of a concern...)) Me (keenly aware of her desire to do as little as possible but still hoping. Hesitantly....) Well, I mean, I wouldn't mind that, if you would be okay with it... Her: I mean I guess I could but like it would look really weird on your credit card statement and then your bank would probably flag it as suspicious... Me: .... Her: oh it's too late Sorry she already put the base in. Me: that's okay.
I had already tipped $2 by the way.
I drove away only to find that my drink had a hole in it. I discovered this because it spilled coffee on my white shirt and all up in my car and in my drink holders. I was already 15 minutes away and did not have time to turn around and have it remade and stuff, so I called, explained the situation, and asked if they could please refund that drink on my transaction. The person who said she was the manager said I would have to come back and show them the cup in order for them to do that, and that she would be there until eleven (it was about 1030 when I called).
I said that policy didn't make a lot of sense... Couldn't anybody just stab a hole in their cup and show it to you? Her response: is that what you're saying you did? I said nope, just seems like a silly rule. Anyways we ended the convo; she offered to give me corporate's email and I said no no thank you have a nice day.
I can't comment much on the drink because most of it is in my cupholder or...
Read moreOn April 4th I arrived to a line of about 5 cars at each window. There was a barista taking orders while cars were in the outside line which is the only reason the service is rated as 2 because she was so nice. I hadn’t no idea what I wanted, so my order was taken at the window. I ordered 2 drinks. My drink was supposed to be a legendary latte made with red raspberry and white coffee. The barista who made my drink was nice, but the entire time the two baristas inside were making drinks they were complaining about their job and coworkers. Not really a “good” perception of your company. I got my drinks and headed home which is about 10 minutes from this coffee stand. My husband’s drink was made correctly. My drink did not have white coffee in it. I know it was made with white chocolate instead. White coffee has a unique nutty taste and I know my drink was not made with white coffee. Normally I wouldn’t write a review and would get my drink remade, however I was already home and was not going to head back to sit in a line of cars to get my drink remade. I was charged extra for the white coffee espresso and I did not get that. When your drink is $9 it should be made correctly. I emailed Bigfoot Java the day of, almost immediately after I got home and received no response. That’s why I am writing this review since they don’t seem to care about their customers or ensuring we get...
Read moreWhile the drinks are delicious, you always need to plan for a wait of 10-12 minutes or longer. I based my rating on that but today alone would barely get one star. Only one car was ahead of me in line but after I waited at least 15 minutes I moved to the west side of the building at the Seatac location at I-5 and 200th, where I was first in line. It was anothet 6-7 minutes before a dark-haired young man strolled to his station and counted the till. This was at 5:15 p.m. so my guess is that he was late to work. He took my order for just one drink (a delicious Sasquatch Tracks Frostbite) and then went in the back room to wash blender containers. He took his time making my drink, never showing any hustle. The top of my drink container had the beverage all over it but he didn't wipe it off and some of it landed down the front of my blouse.
To top it all off, I couldn't figure out how to use the credit card machine without leaving a tip. (To Insure Prompt Service?? Hah!) I nicely and calmly asked how to do that as I had to wait 22 minutes (hubby told me it was 27 minutes actually) for my drink. He helped me but made it obvious he was displeased. I am a regular but this might be changing. They ALWAYS are short handed but this was ridiculous!
(Other locations don't seem to have this problem.) Oh, and the website doesn't allow for questions or...
