In the past year my family has been seeing shows at near by venue “Town Hall”, pre show drinks and pizza after the show has been the highlight of the night on a few occasions….
I am recovering from a bad multiple sclerosis episode that had me living in a private research facility essentially neighboring Swedish, where my dad is doing his final days.. currently non responsive our family has been taking 3 day shifts to assure he’s not alone when the time comes. Even though i was running on maybe a few upright hospital chair naps when my mom presented me with tickets Thursday the 27th, i rallied with hopes of a distraction.
Before the show we just got in, where i believe Ron was the bar man, i sipped a margarita…. Than spilled the ice as i left, embarrassed but clearly wasn’t over served in a 5 minute window, after the show we returned to a new bar person, we never got a name, i believe they/them were African American but radiated the energy of a teen goth girl, they seemed inconvenienced immediately just by our presence, i ordered a vodka soda, my second drink on the night, knocking my straws out of the glass….. typically this is where my cane would tip someone off to my disability, sad but true, this is where they/them decided to look for anything, watch me until something else tipped him off. Now I knew i probably looked like hell after crying for days, also my involuntary movements are exacerbated by fatigue and anxiety, so I’m sure i looked odd, but was doing nothing else to suggest being over served. About half way through that drink i knocked it with my elbow spilling a lil bit on the bar top, he asked if i was okay, i said i just wanted a cigarette than id come have another, he said we was uncomfortable and that i could nurse the other half of my vodka, exhausted i took that in stride, attempted to explain my situation to them, sharing that maybe my motor skills were affected use of cannabis in the early afternoon, he heard nothing else, i was only trying to share id not been even close to over served. Now i respect his decision to cut me off, though i think any bar man worth anything could see i exhibited no other signs of a drunk
As i went to smoke, we went to clear my half full vodka, the one he’d just told me i could finish, my mom went to defend the drink, when this clown decided to tell her, i wasn’t allowed anymore drinks, claiming i told him i was drunk and also high as a kite from drugs….. Also that i clearly am lying?!??!? Who talks to anyone else’s mom like that?!? Even if i had been discovered with a heroin needle in my neck, WHO IS HE!!!! He ruined our night , he said i couldn’t order more, i was compliant immediately…. This was out of pocket….. alsoi wasn’t driving that night, am i not allowed to get buzzed at a a bar Maybe teach your staff basic human shit, like there’s always a lot more than what meets the eye. Fires this fool. I hope i see him some day. Hopefully his mom is there, and grieving, so I can share A mart has been a fave of mine since i was 21 in the u district. Ill never go back. I was also charged for the half...
Read moreI ordered my pizza through the slice app and when it said it was ready I went down to pick it up. The bar was relatively busy but the bartender was clearly drunk. I gave him my name and said I ordered through the slice app and he went back and checked he he came back around and gave me the ok symbol. I inquired as to what exactly that meant and he said it wasn’t ready and was kind of short. He then proceeded to act like I was being unreasonable with my impatience because the app said it was ready after all and he had me step back into the kitchen to prove to me that nothing was ready which I felt was unnecessary and aggressive. Then I saw the cook come around the corner looking for someone and moments later come out with a pizza and stand next to me. He had broken English but I explained that the app had said my pizza was ready and he said this is the only pizza that is ready it’s a Mediterranean with extra sausage which is what I had ordered. The pizza was fine but the service was terrible. I ordered pickup for the convenience of the location as I live in the apartment just above this location. I will likely not be ordering pizza here again due to my interaction from the belligerent bartender. I almost just brushed this off but I just don’t feel like the bartender working that day should be getting away with that kind of behavior. No employee should be visibly drunk and belligerent...
Read moreI WISH I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS: ordered through grubhub and our order was completely wrong. We received tomato sauce rather than pesto, called not only grubhub but the restaurant itself and let them know we needed a replacement due to a severe tomato allergy- was told a replacement would be sent and was confirmed by both platforms. 2 hours waiting and still not replacement has been sent (mind you I am about a 5 minute drive from this place), so I call. The lady who picked up the phone not only put me on an unofficial hold to yell at the people she was working with, she then stated that it was too busy to get me my pizza, I disputed and was told that one was for sure on it's way. WE ARE NOW 4 hours into this wait and still no replacement pizza- I CALL and get told it will for sure be there and to answer the phone. Just got a phone call and they are now refunding me instead of just simply delivering me the pizza I originally ordered. I just got a follow up call asking if they could just give me a random pizza they had on hand to make up for it because the refund would come out of the driver's pocket... how is this my fault? why would I want your random pizza when I stated I had an allergy and you didn't even make my first one correct? -100/5 stars, this place's food is mediocre at best and DEFINITELY not work the terrible...
