I was assaulted here by the bouncer on New Year's Eve. I arrived at 9:30, had my ID checked at the door, and went downstairs and drank a single vodka and orange juice that I finished by 10. At 11:40, my boyfriend and I came upstairs, he went outside to smoke and I started heading to the bathroom. The bouncer asked for my ID, and I told him that I already had my ID checked and that I had been downstairs. He told me it didn't matter, and he needed to check it again anyways. I took out my ID and showed it to him, and turned towards the bathroom. He didn't say anything to me, but grabbed me by both hands and threw me out the door. The next thing I knew I was flat on the ground, still holding my ID. He immediately said, "You fell, I didn't push you." My boyfriend came over and explained that we were already downstairs, but the bouncer told me I wasn't allowed back in because I had an "attitude." I exchanged less than two sentences with him, I was polite, and did exactly as he asked. The bouncer easily weighed twice as much as I do. Two days later I returned in the afternoon with my mom and boyfriend at a time they said the manager would be in. They told me the manager was away, and I talked to a man and a woman. The woman's name was June. The two people did not want to hear what I had to say, they told me that I probably wasn't at the bar at all, that I was drunk, that no bouncer by the description I gave them worked there, and that I was lying. They completely did not care, and were extremely rude. Months later, I am still suffering from the trauma. My neck and back hurt everyday now, and I'm traumatized from...

This is a tough review because upon immediately walking in you could tell there's a history to Bimbos Cantina and it's most likely been around Capitol Hill for quite some time. Unfortunately, there's just not a lot of positives. They had a security/doorman checking IDs the second you walk in and while he was looking over my ID I made small talk by asking how his day was going, to which he responded "Oh...I've been better." I should've put more thought into this interaction because it really set the tone for the 45 minutes my wife and I spent inside for dinner.

It took nearly 10 minutes for the waitress bring water and ask for drinks. We went with a basic gin and tonic w/ lime and began looking over the menu. Let me start off by saying there's not many ways you can get a gin and tonic wrong but the drinks were just not very good. Also, there's a lot of standing around by the staff when they could be checking on customers and the needs. We saw two couples come in and have a seat only to get up and walk out 10 minutes later after not being helped- worst part about it is they had to notice, it just didn't seem to interrupt any of the staff's conversations with each other.

The food was probably the worst Mexican food I've ever had. I mean, I've tasted better tacos at Taco Bell. We ended up eating one of the four we ordered and the rice and beans really looked and smelled like they had been left out overnight. I'm not sure if we came in at the worst possible time (although the place was maybe 1/4 full) or this is what to expect. I can't see it being much...

This was one of my favourite restaurants to order at and I, in the past ordered here often. Ordered the most horrible, cold breakfast burrito here tonight and got my half assed add on condiments of guac and didnt see the cheese I paid for and mashed potatoes in a breakfast burrito? Come on. The cherry on top was the new delivery guy who when I handed a $20 for my $13 order said thanks and quickly walked away. Complained to Eat24 and the delivery guy admitted he does this all the time and never offers change back unless the customer specifically stops him. Terrible, someone shouldn't have to confront you to be offered change as you run away. Super let down and after all the great Inferno Burritos and super cool delivery guy in the past, its time to say Adios! Oh, and lest we forget: the rep said the Bimbo's employee doesn't even carry change! So apparently he creates a situation where he can't give you your change even if you wanted it (run full speed after him to confront him). In the Eat24 rep's words "He basically...

The whole experience was mediocre. We may try again because the place is cute and the food sounds good on paper, but the moment we walked in the bartender/server was standoffish, even though it was basically empty on a weekend. Food was not great. I got my burrito wet with green sauce which I usually love, but it was full of nutmeg with an odd flavor. Not sure what goes on downstairs, maybe that’s fun, but as far as a restaurant they were missing the mark with food and service this particular day.

Stopped by with a group of friends for a quick bite before we hit the town. The place is really small and its tight walking to a table but the staff/bartenders are pretty great. Even when busy they are pretty quick with orders and drinks. They also have interesting decor on their walls, I found myself looking up and everything quite a bit. So much so the staff thought I needed something haha. I would definitely try this place out again for a real meal, but maybe on a less busy day.

I remember this place tasting different when it was on Belmont/Pine but overall everything was fine. Food was ok. Service was ok. We asked for a pitcher of rainier and the waitress was like we don’t have that on draft. She came back we said we’d get a PBR, she then said we don’t have canned beers. Wouldn’t you tell us after we asked for a pitcher you don’t have these certain canned or pitchered beers?
