This is a cool little bar/lounge! Small quaint bar and I believe some light food options upstairs (street view). Cha cha is directly to left of entrance and down stairs. Cool, chill, and nice ambieance. This hidden lounge has a Dia de Los Muertos/fiesta vibe to it. Deco is fun and authentic.

It was a very fun time here and JD was a WONDERFUL. He had a happy smile and makes the best drinks. The prices are great. The bar is comfortable. If I lived here I would come here every single day. I would vote for JD for president.

Was bar hopping in cap hill when I saw a queue to enter and asked someone if it's a good place to hop. I'm glad I did. Loved the vibe, had Moscow mule which was strong, though not the best one you'll have. Loved the energy around me.

It was so exciting to see this place again after 2 years. The anticipation of reliving past memories and creating new ones filled me with excitement. However, what awaited me was not the warm welcome I had hoped for, rather a chilling encounter with the door person and his deplorable attitude.

Upon walking in, I ask them "Hi! What all do you need from us?" only to be met with disdain as the door person rolled his eyes and begrudgingly gestured for whatever he deemed necessary. Undeterred, I proceeded inside, determined to enjoy the evening ahead.

When walking out, I held the door for my friend, to which the door person 'Shoo'ed' me to close it. Feeling a sense of obligation to address his unprofessional behavior, I voiced my concerns about his attitude, only to be met with a barrage of obscenities and disrespect. 'F''k off, bit'h"

Perhaps it would be more suitable for them to seek alternative employment opportunities away from public interaction. It was evident that their focus was not on providing a welcoming atmosphere but rather on indulging in personal distractions, such as the ink pen they were nonchalantly coloring with.

In conclusion, I cannot in good conscience recommend visiting until management addresses the issue at hand. A formal statement indicating the dismissal of the door person or an assurance of improved customer service standards would be necessary to restore confidence in the establishment. Until then, potential patrons beware of encountering such UNWELCOMING and...

"Bar time" is apparently a timezone which exists only at Cha Cha Lounge and represents 15 minutes of time travel into the future. Let me explain...

A group of 4 friends and myself went downstairs to Cha Cha Lounge last night on a Wednesday night. We got there sat down and realized they were still in happy hour (which stated 4-8pm on the menu). We rushed to the bar as it was 7:48pm and wanted to get in a round while still on happy hour. When we got there I ordered a drink off the happy hour menu and the bartender told me a higher price. I asked if the drink was included in the happy hour menu, he said yes but happy hour has ended.

I was a bit puzzled. I looked at my Android Wear watch, which syncs to my phone which gets its time from my cell provider, which gets the time from NIST-F1 atomic clock. So I KNEW when my watch said 7:48pm it was accurate and thus still within happy hour, but the bartender looked at me and said that, "bar time was after 8pm and it was no longer happy hour."

What the hell is "bar time?" I told him I didn't want the drink and we would simply take out business elsewhere. He eventually said he would override the price and sell us our food and drinks at the happy hour price.

Still... he shouldn't have to do that. If they advertise happy hour from 4-8pm, the computer should automatically put the happy hour price if a sale is made before 8pm. There is no such thing...

Bartender downstairs (cha cha) was hostile from the moment we walked in. We asked about the happy hour specials and got a confused and half assed reply. Asked for a menu and saw that "loco hour" is 5-6pm and includes $1 chips and salsa, $1 pints, and $1 tacos. 13 minutes until 6pm we order said tacos, chips and salsa, and other happy hour items. After ringing everything up we were told BTW, none of that pricing is valid because we're on "bar time" and while the entire west coast agrees its 547pm, here at cha cha, it's actually 602pm and therefore "loco hour" pricing does not apply. We ask "what's bar time?" and "why not say "loco hour" is only till 545 instead of 6 to avoid confusion...our response? "I don't set the clocks at your house, bro." Cool, bro. We cashed out and left. Not the worst place on this earth but damn, the service is bad, their practice is sketchy at best, and there are literally like 10 places within a half block that would be better places to dump your money.

Edit - just saw the previous review...unlike that person, the 2 of us did not have our prices overridden. We paid full price for what we DID get served (food order was canceled but drinks...
