Please take my review with a grain of salt. I have worked in the Napa Valley + Sonoma wine industries since 2016, so I will admit I have somewhat high expectations based on prior experiences. Had a friend visiting me from out of town, so I had my father, who is a wine club member, book us a tasting last Saturday. The tasting room itself is beautiful, but the experience was sub-par. First, they mixed up our flights. I ordered the 'seasonal flight' solely because the hostess said it included the sparkling wine. My friend chose the other flight with Chardonnay. Somehow I didn't get any sparkling, and my friend did. Secondly, we were seated at a table directly next to the door to exit to the restroom. This didn't seem like a huge deal at all, until we noticed a surplus of people walking on the downtown streets (mostly Mariners game-goers) that started entering the tasting room JUST to walk through and use the restroom. We constantly had the door opening and closing by us with cold gusts of wind every minute or so, which after a while became pretty agitating. Third, and I know this isn't a con for everyone, but these were not tastings. These were full glasses. Usually I can finish an entire flight, even if there are wines I don't love. I wasn't a huge fan of any of these wines to be honest, and since there were 4 full glasses in front of me, there was no way I would be finishing the flight. Sadly, no dump bucket or anything either. My friend, who is less of a wine drinker than me, also looked like she has barely touched her flight. So we are just sitting there chatting, done drinking, waiting for someone to close out our tab or bring us our check (at the time I wasn't quite sure on their club members tasting policy and if its complimentary or not, we belong to a few clubs and everyone is different). Finally a gentleman comes over to tell us, no rush to finish our wines, but that there's another reservation coming in soon that they need the table for. We realized it had been 2 hours, but the last 45+ minutes were just us sitting, talking, and waiting, not even drinking. We tell him "oh no we're all done!", and he looks back down at our wine and again says "oh no, no need to rush, we just wanted to let you know!". We sat there for a few minutes waiting for someone to bring us our check or tell us if we needed to pay for these tastings, which no one did, so we eventually get up and walk over to the bar to ask about paying our tab. Turns out, there was a tasting fee to cover (which is totally fine, and it was 50% off due to club membership), but it was so strange that we had to go seeking someone to tell us and to close us out, especially considering we were told we would need to vacate the table soon.
Anyway - my parents are still club members of Browne so I am hoping to give more of their wines a chance. The Viognier was the stand out wine from my...
Read moreWashington is one of the best places for good wine in the U.S. Woodinville allows those in the Seattle area to taste much of the Northwest Wine Regions creations without having to go to wine country itself, which is approximately four hours away. However, even going to Woodinville can be a production. Wine in downtown Seattle works perfectly for those that live downtown or even more so, for those that want to stop somewhere after work for a drink. Wonderful wine bars are here in the city like Purple for example, but I love it when a winery has it's own tasting room.
Meet Browne Family Vineyards! Small, intimate, classy, wonderful selection of wines (food too!). I stopped in last night to get my palate excited and indeed it was! I started out with the Columbia Cabernet (2016) which was really light and simple, great price! After that, it was recommended that I try the Klipsun Vineyard Merlot. DELICIOUS! One of the best Washington Merlots out there! I also tried two blends, a Mablec and a Cabernet Franc. All were tasty :)
Nick was amazing. Polite and friendly as expected, but incredibly sharp and informative on the products and the wine world. Clearly an employee who takes his job seriously. A true professional!
Between the great location, selection of products, friendly and knowledgeable staff and reasonable prices, I'd highly recommend to stop in and check out this tasting room whenever you're in the Pioneer Square area. I'll be...

The customer service was nothing short of exceptional. The knowledgeable staff guided us through the tasting menu and recommended a perfect charcuterie to complement the wines. Every detail was handled with care and expertise, and their passion for wine was palpable.
And the wines themselves? Superb would be an understatement. Each pour was a testament to the craftsmanship and dedication of the winemakers. From crisp whites to robust reds, every wine showcased distinctive flavors and impeccable balance. I had the Grand Slam Flight which introduced me to some of my new favorites wines, the bold and velvety Syrah, and the refreshing and absolutely crushable Viognier.
What truly set Browne apart was their commitment to creating an unforgettable experience. Whether you're a seasoned wine enthusiast or a newcomer, Browne Family Vineyards is something extraordinary. As we left, lingering over the last sips of the rose, we knew we had discovered a gem—a place where passion for wine meets unparalleled hospitality. The manager, Elizabeth, was especially kind and welcoming to us and we saw how willing she was to go above and beyond for every guest. We are looking forward to...
