Used to come in here all the time a few years ago and loved it. The staff were always wearing smiles and full of energy and the daily trivia was a highlight of my morning. I don’t know if it is Under new ownership or something else happened but much of the old staff left all at around the same time and it’s never been the same. Would still go in occasionally for a snack and a coffee but the coffee was so hir or miss I stopped even getting that and would just get a snack. Well now for the third time in a row my food was messed up. First time it was a wrap that was so smashed the fillings were spilling out of both ends. Second time I’m not even sure what happened but only half the sandwich was cooked, the other half cold and most of the fillings were mashed onto one side. Last thing I went and got was a bagel, toasted with cream cheese. Heard the timer go off for the bagel, the person behind the counter turned it off then proceeded to help multiple more people. Finally had to ask them to get it for me and they just shoved it in the bag without looking. What do ya know, it was burnt. It would be fine if there were lines out the door like the old days, but there were not too many people and they spent much of this time chatting to the other person working and barely even acknowledging costumers. I will give it credit for location, but with all the other food and coffee places opening in the area I think I’ll take a longer walk and find...
Read moreI will never spend my money at Diva Expresso ever again and am appalled by their lack of compassion.
This morning I went to Diva Expresso and a woman who was obviously homeless walked into the cafe and asked for a black coffee. Instead of charging her for the coffee or simply giving it to her because the woman was obviously suffering, the worker almost instinctively looked the woman in the eye, and said, “you have to have shoes to be in here. Go get your shoes.”
The woman who didn’t have shoes and obviously didn’t have any hidden begged the worker several times for a coffee. From this point the situation escalated and the woman began taking food, and I in no way blame the woman because she is hungry, powerless, and this worker is denying her humanity without an ounce of remorse. Eventually, two cops walk in and following the escort of the homeless woman, the worker goes on to feel sorry for herself, claiming that she is the victim in this situation.
I believe that if this worker had treated the woman with the same respect as she would a middle class citizen then the situation would’ve ended much better.
And to the cop who told me not to give her my Breakfest Burrito because I might encourage her. Withholding food is not a punishment and attempting to punish a hungry person by withholding...
Read moreI don’t know if some people just don't have kids and therefore have no empathy for parents or understanding of the fact that accidents happen?! This morning my son spilt his hot chocolate at the diva espresso (Harborview) and I was not happy about it. I cleaned the best I could and then went up and ordered more stuff and told them about the spill so they know. I didn't just keep quite about it and have them wonder later and even then this girl Clarissa or Carisa I think was her name seemed really rude about it. The rudest part was her going up to the cashier and "whispering" (rudely enough for me to hear her) "charge her!" Not ones but twice. That was a slap in my face for sure so I said, "I do not want the hot chocolate because accidents happen and I am not going to pay for it again." Give me a break! I am already upset about the fact that my child spilt the drink. She was very unprofessional and no empathy for what a mother is going through. The cashier had already taken it off the bill and when Clarissa told her to charge me she was like…." Clarissa said no." I will not be coming back. Who are these people?! They have a lot to learn when it comes to costumer service. PS: it’s not about the money it’s about the fact that she went out of the way for her to tell her to charge me and the...
