Nice and simple. Hidden in the lower queen anne hills. From the outside it Looks more like a vegan spot or corner market. The interior is nice and simple. The Food is nice and simple. Even their ourdoor eating space is nice and simple. Very clean. I ordered breakfast and dinner at the same time. Together the even out to an interesting lunch. The sun was out so I sat outside.
I can't remember what the breakfast sandwich was called but it was pretty good. Not the best I've ever had, but still good. The bread it was on was nice and soft. I only wish is had a suace. Without sauce, the sandwich is dry.
The curry was much better than the sandwich. I ordered their butter chicken. So good. Makes me winder what the other options taste like. A larger portion would have made me happier. Also the chicken was a bit over cooked and tough, but the flavors, so nice.
My Chai was bursting with flavor, but light at the same time. There was a very minty or earthy kick to it that played very well with the cold milky flavors and spicy Chai.
Their Mango cheese cake was very delicious, but is borderline not actually a cheese cake. More of a cross between flan, cheesecake, and pumpkin pie. Their Mango sauce drizzle was a nice touch. Very tangy and kick up the mild sweet flavors of the cheesecake.
So Glad I finally came to check this place out. I'm sure I'll...
Read moreA lovely restaurant run by even better staff/owners. I am always on the search for new Indian restaurants, and I must say Far Eats has to be the most authentic in terms of flavor that I've had. I ordered the Chicken Biryani Dish, and the first couple of bites were very new in terms of the flavor profiles I have grown accustomed to. The Mint and lemon threw me off a bit, but the more I ate I began to appreciate the flavor. One thing I noticed was how much flavor the chicken had in comparison to the rice as I ate them separately. Great portion size, presentation, and a unique flavor with the pickled mango.
My partner got the Lamb Tikka Masala and she thoroughly enjoyed the dish and mentioned how more spiced it was vs the heavily tomato based dishes in the area.
Garlic Naan: It was fine Mango Lassi: More tart than normal but they had informed it would be due to the probiotics.
Vegetable Pakora: Must get! So well made, the consistency and components are spot on. Baked to perfection. Really enjoyed this. Bravo.
I will be back and look forward to trying all new...
Read moreThis place has so much potential but they seem to be wasting it. The food tasted fine in general but really bad service and provisions. While the service staff was nice, they didn't give any plates or cutlery or anything before serving food. Had to ask them for it. They brought the check to the table but I had to pay at the counter! What's the point in bringing the check at all? The food is too expensive for what it is too. At the least they can work on their presentation. There are better tasting places with much better presentation for this price. Ambiance could use some work as well. Their tables are nice but are kept haphazardly. Nothing from the outside looks inviting or says its an indian cafe. And then there is the name, it doesn't sound like an Indian restaurant/cafe at all. I have lived here for 9 years and never even knew there was an indian cafe 3 blocks away! Like I said, there is so much potential to make this place a good Indian restaurant but it pains me to say they...
