This could have gone bad fast. I suggested this location based on proximity to Climate Pledge Arena and the reviews. When we arrived, the "guy behind the counter" barely made eye contact and gruffly said, "Do you have a reservation?" When we replied that we didn't, he winced and said the only thing they might have is outside around the corner. We didn't really care where we sat, it was a beautiful evening anyway. The weird thing is 90% of the tables were empty... there were only two or three groups in the entire place. When we "found" our seats, on our own, one of our crew popped on to their website and took the last reservation at 7p (5 minutes from that time) and went up to the front to let them know we "do have a reservation". 😁 Fortunately, that was the worst of it and the wait staff (a lone, friendly dude) was polite and accommodating and the FOOD was awesome. We ordered a few drinks, a couple of the special cantaloupe salads (the photo is one small portion, we were going to get three and luckily the waiter suggested they were pretty big) and two pizzas to share. The salad was really spectacular and the pizza was really great as well. I'd definitely come back but only on a nice night because the inside seating is only about a third of the total seats. They don't have much beyond pizza, had hopes for some alternatives but it was...
Read moreIt was a terrible dining experience. We arrived at 7:30pm on a Sunday night and received our first pizza at 8:40pm. It took 65+ minutes between ordering and receiving our pizzas. There were only four other tables at the restaurant (two of which already had pizza). When our first pizza arrived, it was missing a topping and had burnt dust speckles on top of it. Our second pizza arrived 10 minutes later with a soggy middle. Both pizzas had tough crust that wasn't burnt, wasn't crispy, just dense and difficult to chew through.
We also ordered olives and tried to order brussel sprouts. The olives arrived no problems but they were out of the sprouts. For a restaurant with only three salad items, it seems weird that they would be out of one of their items.
We ordered drinks and only one of them showed up. At the end of our meal, our waiter stopped serving us and started drinking at the bar without saying anything to us.
This place is not worth the time or the money. For better service and pizzas, go further up the hill to Via Tribulani.
I was here 8 months ago and the pizzas were quite good. Not sure how things became so bad in less...
Read moreTerrible. Last night I went to Colvita for my first time. We have been so excited to check it out since it opened across the street from our apartment. We ordered a pizza and the charcuterie plate (pictured below). We asked how long the pizza would take and a guy at the bar (turned out to be the cook and possibly the owner) replied back that it would be ten minutes, the waitress heard and immediately said it would take longer and suggested we order something while we wait. While we waited we ate the bread ($3 for 4 thin slices of baguette bread and olive oil) and were not served any water or asked if we wanted drinks. The charcuterie was an absolute joke. $16 for bad apple slices, ONE slice of meat, 2 cheese slices and saltine crackers. What a joke. Pizza was no better, would not recommend to anyone. If you are in the area I suggest you check out Rocco's or Windy City Pie which offer fantastic atmospheres and way better food at the same price point. I did attempt to call Coltiva when I got home (across the street), but no one answered any of the...
