Update: 2022.5.22:. Changed from 3 stars to 4 stars. Based on food only would rate 5 stars. Also received excellent service all three times. They only lost a star due to poor logistics on my second visit. This time I ordered over phone and received chicken katsu (red) curry, crispy tofu, and a large tom kha soup for just under $60 30 minutes after placing my to go order. The food and service was excellent. I'm assuming next visit will be excellent as well and I'll change the review to 5 stars so around. To go order we also well packed and they provided perfect amount of sauces and extra chili. Will definitely return as it is one of my favorite restaurants in the neighborhood and they have fair pricing for high quality well portioned food.
My first visit was 5 stars all around. The food is delicious and the wait staff is extremely nice. Tonight I received 1/3 of my order which is nice but I would have had to wait an extra 30 minutes past when my order was supposed to be ready (and confirmed ready through the app) after already waiting. I actually went in early which was my fault. I then waited until my order time and had to wait ten minutes past when I received a notification that my order was ready (unsure if it was a doordash issue or they accidentally confirmed it was ready) to speak to a waitress. Tonight it seemed like they bit off more than they could handle. I saw multiple customers leave without receiving their orders and another to go customer cancel his order. I will still try to visit and hopefully give them a proper tip. They have a sign stating they are under staffed and you could tell they were struggling. In the future they maybe could seat fewer tables and/or stop taking to go orders. I should have chosen another restaurant when the phone line was busy but I thought maybe it was just a phone issue so I ordered through doordash. My advice to customers is to come very early or expect to wait on kraken game nights or nights when they expect that they will be busy. After I received a portion of my order, which looks delicious, I went to Safeway to get enough food for us because I wasn't sure if the remainder of our order would actually be ready in another 15 minutes as stated. I'm only writing this review in hopes that it helps others and possibly the restaurant because my first experience and the food I received tonight was/is amazing and I have recommended Cashew Thai to many friends and colleagues. I will attempt another to go order in the future on a night when I can call in because the food is delicious and the staff is very nice. I'm guessing this experience was an anomaly and that they are not yet familiar with the level of business that they had tonight or that there were other issues they were experiencing. I'm hoping my next experience goes smoother, I can have another wonderful meal, and bump this review to 5 stars where in guessing they deserve to be. Also despite the issues the staff was courteous and definitely trying their best. The attached photo is crispy chicken, rice, and fried kale (and supplemental chicken from the grocery store) which is extremely delicious and speaks to the high quality of food that...
Read moreAs a niece of Chef Tipjutha, who has enjoyed her food for years, it's so easy to picture that dishes served at her own brand new restaurant will also be great. . . And it is true. My aunt cooks delicious food no matter where she is. But this time, it comes with more meaning. Through the challenges she and her team have overcome before opening the restaurant, the food, besides its excellent taste, also represents their perseverance and dedication of putting things together and delivering them. . . Yesterday was their soft-opening day, my boyfriend and I went to the restaurant. We ordered Massaman Short Ribs, Cashew Crispy Chicken, and Thai Spring Rolls. . . Thai Spring Rolls achieved the perfect crisp. They were neatly wrapped, tasted balanced, and went so well with the sauce. They made us crave more. . . Cashew Crispy Chicken was also very tasty. The softness and crisp of chicken, fried basil, vegetable, and the sauce were addictive. . . Massaman Short Ribs, the highlight dish, was REMARKABLE. It made me forget about Massaman dishes in other places altogether. The meat dissolved in my mouth and the blend of the sauce and the potatoes were irresistible. It's super flavorful and we couldn't get enough of it. . . And before we knew it, we finished all the food. I took home only rice and leftover Massaman sauce. . . There are plenty more dishes I can't wait to try and I definitely recommend everybody to do the same. Pad Ka Pow (Basil stir fried) is highly recommended by the team. The staff are friendly and professional. . . Thai food always reminds me of home. It's rare to find a great Thai restaurant outside of Thailand. However, Cashew Thai Cuisine is by far, one of the greatest ones out there. . . "The food was fantastic. It's a hidden gem with a small town feel." That's how my boyfriend...

I am visiting here in Seattle, and happened to see Cashew Thai Cuisine as I was walking on Queen Anne Av. Decided I would try them for dinner.
What a delight! I ordered the Satay Chicken for an appitizer. It was done to perfection . . . cooked, but still juicy. The sauce was just what I expected: peanuty (
