We stayed here for two nights this past weekend (Friday and Saturday) for a show at Climate Pledge Arena. I did the online check-in process and requested a 1:30 check in (early). It said our room would be ready at 3 but then a minute later I got an email that our room was ready and I could proceed to the lobby and get keys. Score! This hotel has a fantastic location, within just a few minutes walk of so many Seattle Center tourist destinations (Space Needle, MoPOP, Monorail, Chihuly Garden & Glass, International Fountain, etc...). We were in a King studio and had a room with an awesome view of the Space Needle (room 710). The room was well laid out and they managed to make the space quite functional. I especially liked that we could rotate the TV sitting in the room divider so that we could watch TV in either the living room or in bed. The small kitchenette had everything we needed for our two day stay. The bed was pretty comfortable. Our room seemed clean. The staff were pretty friendly/ helpful. My only real complaints were very slow and crowded elevators with housekeeping staff often trying to cram their carts in around guests. It's too bad they don't have a service elevator to use. I also paid for the on-site parking garage, which was almost 100% full when we arrived back from an afternoon out around 5PM on Saturday. I got the last "full" spot on P2 next to a wall. The spaces are quite small/ tight with concrete pillars making it hard for giant SUVs and trucks to fit. They really should undersell the parking garage because a lot of the large vehicles took up 1.5 spaces. As a result, I paid $40 per night for parking, plus parking tax AND sales tax, then paid even more to take Lyft everywhere that we didn't walk because I didn't want to leave and lose my spot. That said, the parking garage seemed quite secure and I felt good about leaving my car there. My last complaint was that the sectional in the living room was really hard to lounge on for any period of time because it was so uncomfortable. It was a sleeper sofa so maybe that's why. The cushions are not in good shape. Anyway, none of these complaints would keep me from staying here again because the location was so great and we really had a good time in the area. I attended a Friday night concert alone at Climate Pledge Arena and felt very safe walking back to the hotel at 11PM by myself with all the people out and about. It was an 8 minute walk door to door, with me stopping to take a few pictures along the way. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again to attend a concert or to visit multiple Seattle Center attractions.

Wife and I spend an extended weekend trip here and we were very pleased with our stay. First off, we were upgraded at check-in to a "King Studio Suite" from our "King Bed" room that we had booked. The suite was spacious with a kitchenette, small freezer/fridge, and high-dining table in addition to our bed, sofa, and bath. The room was cozy and clean, the floor was pretty quiet, and we had an excellent view of the Space Needle. Our bathroom had a large walk-inshower with large rain-fall showerhead. But we had two issues with our room: the knobs of the oven-range were broken (not a bother since we didn't cook) but our room phone was broken (wouldn't get a dial tone). Using the hallway phone by the elevator, we asked for it to be looked at, but the mainenance staff unfortunately wasn't able to fix it, nor did they have any replacements available. This was an annoyance as we couldn't make local calls to ask questions at some of the places on our itinerary. Staff were very friendly and always greeted us when going to the lobby or returning from our daytrips. Interactions were warm and welcoming, especially the kitchen staff during breakfast. We've stayed at other Hyatt locations in Alberta and BC, but this breakfast buffet at this location was very good and stood out. Options not only included eggs, sausage, hashbrowns and juices, but also rotating varieties as well as waffles or pancakes. Fresh greens were offered, fruit salads, yogurts, pastries, cereals, and toasts. Location was great as its a stones throw from Seattle Center, including the Monorail. We easily headed into the Downtown Core for a nice visit to Pike Place Market and the Aquarium. There are a few restaurants nearby, and there are nice options towards Mercer Street if you walk 15-20 minutes (a few blocks past the Climate Pledge Arena).

We recently spent three nights at the Hyatt House Seattle Downtown following our Alaskan cruise, and our experience far exceeded our expectations. We arrived at the property around 11:00 AM and, as Globalist members, did not anticipate early check-in. However, Danni at the front desk welcomed us warmly, acknowledged our status, and ensured we felt valued from the moment we arrived. By noon, Danni personally notified us that our room was ready, allowing us to settle in seamlessly. We were assigned Room #808, located on the same floor as the terrace and adjacent to the rooftop lounge. The room and bathroom were immaculately clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with everything in perfect working order. We also had ample space for our four large suitcases, which made our stay even more comfortable. The location of the hotel is excellent, with the Space Needle just across the street, a McDonald’s nearby, and a free waterfront shuttle within walking distance. We also appreciated the convenient on-site parking, with plenty of spaces available throughout our stay. Breakfast each morning was well-organized and enjoyable, adding to the overall positive experience. We would like to commend the entire team for their exceptional hospitality, including John, Ivette, J, and Bruce. A special thank you to Danni, whose professionalism, positivity, and genuine enthusiasm truly made a difference during our stay. She consistently greeted us with a smile, provided thoughtful service, and even remembered our names—a gesture that did not go unnoticed. Having stayed at many Hyatt properties, we can confidently say that the Hyatt House Seattle Downtown stands out for its outstanding service and welcoming environment. We look forward to returning in the future.

This is my sincerest review of my disappointing experience at Hyatt House Seattle/Downtown on 7/29 through 8/2. When we first arrived to check in on our first evening, we noticed police right outside the hotel. Two suspicious strangers were arguing very aggressively out on the street and our family felt unsafe. We proceeded to walk into the lobby and the first thing we saw was a huge mess of chips all over the floor. The staff nervously apologized for the mess but there was absolutely no urgency to clean it up. Staff members at desks continued to use their computers despite there being no other guests except us. Not the best first impression.

The following days we decided to rent a car and pay for the onsite hotel parking. Parking was very limited with tight spaces. On top of this, this hotel has some serious elevator issues. The rooms, staff, and garage all share only TWO elevators and only ONE of those elevators leads down to the parking garage creating lots of elevator traffic. Waiting for elevators took forever and other guests expressed their shared concerns about this issue as well.

The worst part of the hotel was that on one of the evenings there was no hot water and there was no note of warning whatsoever. When my family discovered this on our own, we called the front desk and the staff member said “Let me check with maintenance,” and hung up abruptly. After some time, I received no call back and still had no hot water. I went down to the front desk myself and I patiently expressed my concerns and stated that there was no warning about maintenance. What I received in return was disgusting and completely unexpected. The staff member was extremely rude, sarcastic, and almost seemed to be projecting his own personal problems onto me. Seconds later as I was angrily walking back to the elevators after our exchange, he proceeded to answer a telephone call. Loudly, to make sure I would hear it, he said, “Yes we currently have no hot water.” Followed by, “Oh, thank you SO MUCH for understanding!”, as if to step on me and get his last word in.

The reason why this was so problematic for my family is because my youngest son has a serious skin condition and needs warm water everyday to be treated properly. Not only did the Hyatt House stop access to the hot water; they did so without warning! After trying to have a civil conversation about this issue with the front desk, I felt violated by the utter disingenuousness by this staff member. His name was Anthony and he was the night auditor. When he said his name, he also said to me “would like me to spell that for you”. This was completely unacceptable and Hyatt House should oversee and coach this type of behavior.

All in all, my family chose Hyatt House for a vacation in Seattle. While we enjoyed our time exploring the city, the hotel was easily the WORST part of our vacation. We had no peace of mind whatsoever and would 100% choose to stay elsewhere if we had to do it all over again. Stay somewhere else if you want a hotel where you don’t have to think about safety, unhelpful and rude staff, and all of the other annoyances...

I hate to leave this kind of review but I feel like I need to. Upon trying to check in, we tried to park and were told we couldn’t park until we checked in, so my fiancé had to drive around in circles while I checked in to avoid paying to park somewhere just to pay to park here a few min later, very inconvenient. There’s no parking lot or place to keep your car while checking in, so if you’re alone beware of that. Next, we booked on the hotels website for a KING STUDIO SUITE CITY VIEW. When we arrived after already paying, they said they did not have any kings left and gave us a 2 queen bed city view room. They said they would switch us to a king room the next day. We got to the queen room, the view was of the parking lot and some trees, could barley see the very bottom of the space needle through the trees. Atleast the room was the same as advertised online even though it wasn’t what we paid for. Unfortunately there was dirty dishes in the sink and urine on the toilet seat underneath the seat. The next day I went to check into my correct room, had to wait a few hours so we went to eat, no big deal. Come back to check in and go up to the room, room does not match description online. We did not have the large table, nor the wooden centerpiece with the tv separating the bed from the sofa area. Room was not 420 SQ as described, was more like 300. This room was so much smaller than the previous room we were in. It did not look like the room I booked in the pictures. I’m sure they put me in the wrong room but refused to fix it for me or make it right for me. They offered me 500 points for compensation, yet it cost 15,000 points to stay for 1 night, so 500 is nothing, and I just became a member to stay here. The toilet in this room had black sticky stuff on the seat, the automatic blinds did not work and phone did not work, also phone did not work in other room either. This place was somewhat dirty, and stuff did not work. Maintenance did fix the issues in our second room. The lady on the phone was not helping me at all and I paid $900 for 2 nights when rooms were $310 per night because of all the fees and parking was $40 per night plus parking fees, and we did not even get what we paid for. Very disappointing. Would not recommend. City view was just a view of space needle. Rooftop was not impressive, lady on the phone argued with me and tried to tell me I was wrong and couldn’t tell me why the room didn’t match the description of the room I paid for. Rooms were dirty. Bad customer service. Not impressed. Too overpriced. Also walls were paper thin and you could hear people stomping all night and walking and traffic...
