It's a fountain. It shoots water into the air. Not all that bad as far as fountains go. I generaly dislike fountains. Mostly the ones in people's front yards. Especially when the driveway is centered around them. It's something you would think looks really nice until you actually build it and see it in winter and it's all just a useless concrete thing that needs to be pressure washed. Only thing worse than a bad looking fountain is an elaborate mailbox that has seen too many years. You look at your mailbox that's shaped like a castle or a fish or something that's leaning over and has moss on it and pieces broken, then go into your driveway and see a fountain with green water, and weeds growing around it. The pump quit working and you haven't fixed it. Now it's just for mosquitos to breed in. You see all yhis and think man there was a time when I thought this would make me happy. I created a thing and now it sits there mocking me but the more it bugs you the harder it becomes to face the fountain and mailbox. What are you supposed to do just get a home depot mailbox and replace the fountain with gravel? Screw it man don't build the fountain or the fancy mail box. It's what's inside your home and your heart that is really...

Read moreThis place is amazing. It's located near Seattle Center, so there's limited parking options, but there's many paid parking lots located walking distance away. There's a long ramp down into the fountain which makes it accessible to anyone. However, the sloped sides seem the favorite of children to go down and play on. Guardians should keep an eye on them, tho, as the sides are very steep and playing in the water will make things slippery. For those who want to watch and not play, there's a short wall surrounding the edge in top. Prefect for sitting and watching the fountain (&/ kids). There's also events that go on here too. Once we caught a water show where the fountain pumped to the beat of the songs belting out on the speakers. The water shot much higher and was really awesome to see. This is a perfect spot for some outdoor water themed fun. The Armoury is super close by, so when there isn't food vender events you can always grab food there and come back to spend time at the fountain. And, of course, the armory has bathrooms, so no one gets stranded.
Tldr; All in all, this is a fun, safe place...
