I would give this negative stars if I could. I'm new to Seattle and made the mistake of going to a cheaper barber shop because I wanted to save money, and I very much regret it. The person who cut my hair, Luan, was rude and gave me the worst haircut experience of my life. After spending not more than 10 minutes on my hair, he immediately unbuttoned the cloth and said he was done without even asking me for my opinion. I had to tell him that I wasn't satisfied with my cut. He seemed visibly annoyed and put the cloth back on me without the white neck cover and buttoned it forcefully, which pinched the skin of my neck. It was painful and I said "ouch" loudly when it happened, and he didn't even apologize or acknowledge that I was in pain. Then he proceeded to cut my hair. I actually had to stop him because it was so uneven and he was going way too short. I was so mad at how unprofessional and rude this service was, and didn't even care if he finished my haircut (it probably prevented him from doing any more damage anyways). I just paid the $20 and left. This has been by far the worst service experience I've ever had. On my receipt it says that Great Clips guarantees satisfaction on all services and products, but this is obviously a big fat lie given what I had to go through today. Great Clips, you just lost a customer. I will also advise everyone in my network, friends and colleagues alike, to never go to this location and save themselves from an...
Read moreI used your online check-in system and received a notification at 7:32 PM stating that I should arrive within 15 minutes and may still have to wait. I arrived at 7:42 PMâwell within that timeframeâwhile the app still indicated 9 minutes remaining before check-in closed.
However, upon my arrival at 7:47 PM, I was told that my appointment had been canceled due to my âabsence.â When I showed the staff member my check-in notification, she insisted that I was late because it was now 7:48 PM and began arguing instead of addressing my concern. I asked whether my appointment would be honored or if I could speak with the manager. She then claimed to be a manager from another salon and not affiliated with this location, though she continued to engage unhelpfully.
I was especially disappointed by the lack of professionalism and empathy shownâparticularly as a pregnant customer who had been waiting in the queue for 84 minutes. A simple apology and rescheduling would have gone a long way. Instead, I was met with defensiveness and dismissiveness.
I hope Great Clips will address this issue seriously and take steps to ensure better customer service and accountability at this location. I would appreciate a response and an...
Read moreWent here to get my long hair, that I've been growing out for a year, cut shorter. I usually do it myself, but it had been a while and I didn't want it as short as I usually cut it myself. The first person lined to help me didn't understand my vision. The second person got it and was doing a wonderful job, but I think they got frustrated with everything I wanted when I reminded them at the end of the last thing I wanted (stated at the beginning and easy to do right if only they'd actually listened). As a result, my hair went from nearly complete and almost awesome, to butchered.
I went somewhere else to get it fixed and just barely at that. They say they've never seen anything like what happened to my hair...
I won't be returning to Great Clips (any location), as this is just another bad experience with the business. Cheap begets cheap.
Fortunately, hair grows back... but it's still troubling when someone butchers your hair, either on purpose or accident.
If you go here, be clear what you want. Don't expect anything that takes effort and except a cheap hair cut for the...
