Can't really excuse your FOH team (M with glasses and empty gauge holes & F wearing dark cami croptop both behind bar, F in dark Twilight Tshirt moving back and forth on the floor) just straightup ignoring POC folks when we've made eye contact with at least two of y'all after we approached the bar and stood by the taps for at least 10mins OBVIOUSLY waiting, you couldn't even holler a quick "hey we'll be with you"? And what's worse, your staff then pass us up for NOT one but least 2 parties of yt folks that turned up clearly after 😕 And then something similar happens AGAIN when we're trying to close the tab. Appreciate y'all being open on holiday and we expected slow/bad service but this is just uncool.
Food also too salty, otherwise lacking flavor, and none of the party finished their dinner despite only having breakfast all day. At least fries were crispy. As others reviewed before, overpriced dive bar is accurate, with service worse than...

I can't speak for their drinks because I stuck with cheap beer all night, but the waitress definitely kept 'em coming.
I'm really interested in trying the food next time I'm here - I've heard good things and would love to come...
Read moreI love this place normally. Won't go there on the weekends since it's absolutely packed and full of the obnoxious crowd as every Ballard bar these days is. It really does a great job paying homage to the old King's Hardware store. Environment is great as long as you don't mind old dusty mounted animals. Even if you do, it's easy to ignore due to the friendly/professional nature of the staff and the overall welcoming environment.
Another perk to this bar is it's attached to Rudy's barbershop. I routinely go in for a quick cut and sit at the bar while waiting to be snatched up by my barber.
Would definitely recommend as someone who...
