Pioneer Tacos & Tequila — Restaurant in Seattle

Went there on Saturday. There was an event happening and the staff was clearly stressed. One of the bartenders was screaming at people to form a single line, signage might have helped at this point. We got in line and ordered at the bar. The bartender was rude from the get go, "what do you want?" isn't the way to talk to customers, rolling her eyes and snapping we couldn't order food at the bar wasn't it either, again signage would help. I attempted to pay cash because I didn't feel the service was worth the automatic 20% gratuity added to the tab. I was told "we don't take cash during events" - so forced to pay an extra 20% of my bill for bad service. We got a table eventually and ordered food - again 20% automatic gratuity - I ordered 3 tacos and received 2, attempted to speak with a server about it and she told me she couldn't help me. Power tripping Security guard/doorman refused us entry. Im 44yrs old and had my New Zealand Drivers licence with me which i presented to him. Bear in mind this is also at about 3pm! I had not had a single sip of alcohol. The doorman said i could only come in if I had a USA driver license or a Passport.

However, he had let my wife in. With her New Zealand drivers license, the night before. I explained this to him and he gave me the "not my problem" attitude.

Make sure when you pay your tab that you are charged correctly especially if it's during a busy time before an event & you are asked to keep your tab open on your credit card..
