I'm giving this place 3 stars because I gave them 3 tries and had a bad experience each time.
The first time I came at 7 pm on a Sunday for a few beers before they closed at 8 pm. The server made VERY clear to the two of us that last call was at 7:45. First two beer arrived at 7:15. Asked to order another and she refused saying she couldn't serve us under State law (?). We drank our beers and around 20 minutes later (7:35) wanted to order another. She was nowhere to be found.
The second time I showed up in the summer time after a beautiful evening walk with my partner through Queen Anne. We passed by Rooftop and decided to stop in for a drink. We realized upon entry to their OUTDOOR seating area that we didn't bring our masks on our walk. The host wouldn't let us in to the OUTDOOR seating area without a mask. When we asked if he had one, he said we could buy one for like $12! What a joke! I can get a box of masks at Costco for $7.
The third time we were invited to go to Rooftop by some friends. Two of my friends wanted to order a special beer they had on the menu that was high alcohol content (it was like 14%) - but they limited it to only 1 per customer. What kind of place limits a drink to one per customer? Isn't a glass of wine 14-15% alcohol?
There are two many other good local breweries in town to deal...
Read moreThis review is specifically for the downstairs event space which we rented for our meet & greet the night before our wedding and it was great! It was a great way to give our out of town guests a real Seattle craft beer experience surrounded by brewing equipment. They did a great job cleaning up the space (still very industrial) but still had a great charm that everyone complimented all night. It is kid & dog friendly and you can bring your own wine/simple spirits to supplement the 4 taps that you get to choose from their list. Staff was very friendly and communicative as well during the whole process. It truly was an amazing way to kick off our wedding weekend and welcome...
Read moreLove them absolutely to bits. They are my local pub, I hadn't planned them to be, and I couldn't be happier about it, other than it being dangerous them being so close by.
The best staff, lovely brews, chill atmosphere, pet (not just dog!) friendly, and genuinely just a nice place to hang out for a hot second.
Not to throw shade too hard, but would 100% recommend over old stove which is also nearby. Rooftop has better beer, staff/denizens, and vibe by a mile. If you want a grumpy bartender and fratbro atmosphere, go to old stove. If you'd like to sip lovely beer, maybe love on a chill doggo, and just generally have a nice day, stroll on...
