I've been a fan of Maritime Pacific beer for almost 20 years. Before they even had a tasting room in the old location. It's the genuine article in terms of microbreweries, the "real deal" that's resisted the temptation to grow beyond its roots. Beyond being family owned, it's a real family of servers, brewers and back office staff, many of whom have been with MPBC since the early days. The brewed offerings are wide and deep and there's a beer that'll appeal to just about anyone. I've never met a beer at MPBC that I didn't enjoy. The kitchen never disappoints either, it's not just a random collection of food trucks that pass by from time to time. The restaurant is comfortable, but it's quite noisy and the large chairs and tables are difficult to navigate. The staff is indifferent: they have never been rude to me; at the same time they don't seem too interested in serving me. The beer is good but they always seem to be out of something, and with 4 other breweries in the neighborhood there are better options. I'm nitpicking because they're on the fence for me. On my most recent visit I had a seasonal wet hop (fresh hops, not kiln dried) IPA that was excellent; I heard the hops were from the Yakima area. Food is good too: great burgers, fries, onion rings, various sandwiches, and a few German inspired dishes of brots, sausages, and short ribs. On my most recent visit I had the slow cooked short ribs dinner that came with egg noodles, brussel sprouts, and a purple slaw that was very good. I'll be...
