I was undecided about whether to write this because the majority of reviews for this place are very good, but after going here with my sister last weekend to get our nails done and being extremely disappointed, I figured I'd share my experience since it did not align with the majority. First of all, after booking two appointments online, I was contacted by the salon. They wanted photos of the designs we wanted so they could make sure I had enough time booked to complete it. After a couple of phone calls, they said that they would send me a message to reply to with my reference photo. They never sent me that message so I was unable to send the reference or get an accurate estimate of the price of my nails. When I came in with my sister, they took us to a private room in the back which was nice, but our nail techs barely spoke to us (sang the entire time instead), briefly glanced at our reference images, and had a very impatient attitude if I asked a clarifying question. Not to mention that my sister was nearly in tears at how aggressively her tech was filing and clipping away at her fingers. Also, they actually DIPPED our nails in the powder instead of applying it on top. That is a huge cleanliness issue that nearly every article I've read about dip manicures say is a major red flag.... My sister (with the French tip nails, super lumpy with inconsistent edges) finished nearly an HOUR before my nails were done. I asked for my nails to be shorter and rounder than my reference photo, and instead I got square nails that are incredibly lumpy and the designs were poorly executed with tons of extra glitter where there shouldn't be any. Although they gave my sister a receipt to take to the register with the name of the tech and the price, mine was taken away and a new price was added without telling me about it or knowing who did my nails. I am shocked at how long it took to complete a simple design. I've gotten my nails done like this several times before at other places and been charged less for better quality. It took over 2 hours to get my nails finished and I felt like I was being shoved out the door. I really dont like to complain, but I came so I could treat myself with nice nails for my engagement shoot this week and left feeling like it was a waste of money and time. I was excited and prepared to have this be my new regular nails place and now it doesn't seem like it's possible. I simply cant afford to take chances like this. I would be willing to have it made right if I could get someone who genuinely cared about their customer and spent 30 seconds checking in with them at all during the appointment. As someone who has spent several years in customer service and managing service-based businesses, the level of unprofessionalism and attitude was unacceptable.

I was super excited to come here with my mom after desperately needing a mani/pedi and some relaxation time. However, my experience here was abysmal. Our appointment took about 2 hours for a regular polish manicure and pedicure, no service like that should take as long as it did. Quynh, did my pedicure and had no idea what she was doing and kept asking Jennifer for help. Halfway through my pedicure, Quynh left me sitting there and moved onto someone else. Someone else ended up finishing my pedicure and did my manicure (and absolutely destroyed my cuticles). As you can see in the photo, she cut my fingers up and left me bleeding. As I am writing this, my fingers are still super sore and tender. She had no regard for the fact that my cuticles were bleeding and kept saying “Oh, it’ll come off when you wash your hands.” As I was getting ready to leave, the same lady who messed up my cuticles put my shoes on and then proceeded to put cuticle oil all over my toes, and got the oil all over my Birkenstocks which stained them. After my mom had pointed that out, she said “Oh no it’ll be fine, they’ll be good” in fact, they’re not fine and now my $120 Birkenstocks are ruined with oil stains. As we were paying at the front, the woman checking us out seemed to have very little regard for my dissatisfaction. After a lot explaining to her what had happened, she said she’d give me 25% off my service for the issues, eventually after explaining everything else, they removed the cost of my manicure. I feel like it’s necessary for everyone to know and see how horrible the end result was, super disappointing given all the good reviews. In the photos you can see my cut up, bleeding cuticles and now oil stained Birkenstocks.

Updated review: Our family has been coming to Pink Polish for quite some time now, and it is definitely worth the commute from Lake Stevens to get the best quality customer service. The kindness shown to us by the owner every time we come is something pretty special, she literally makes us feel like family:). We’ll continue to travel to get our nails done here because their attention to detail, cleanliness and aesthetics of the salon, plus the customer service is top notch. Get the Pink Treatment you will not regret it!;) Original review: Our second time in at the awesome Pink Polish in Ballard! The hour-ish commute is so worth it! My husband, daughter, and I love the ambiance, the staff, and the entire non funky smell/totally clean space here! I think it’s probably best we live further away because my daughter literally asked if we can come back next week! We are so happy to have found this “healthier” envirornment/allergy friendly nail salon. Everyone is super nice and the foot/leg massage—OOOH my goodness!!! It’s my favorite part. We don’t partake but there’s adult refreshments available too—Mimosas😉. Restrooms are clean and the entire space is so thoughtfully decorated. Honestly I can’t rave enough about Pink Polish, as long as they continue to keep the standards high and non toxic we will keep coming back every couple of months. The Pink Treatment is my fave, my husband loves The Spoil Me and is even talking about getting a mani next time, and I absolutely appreciate how wonderful they always are to our daughter. I hate feet pics but look at my pretty gel toes! Fall vibes:) It really is the best vibes, people—go get some self care at Pink Polish you will totally love it just as much as we do!!!

Finally Sharing a Long Overdue Glowing Review for Pink Polish in Ballard, WA

It's about time I took a moment to share my glowing thoughts about Pink Polish in Ballard, WA. This salon has been my go-to spot for nail care for quite some time now, and I regret not writing this review sooner - my bad #life

From the minute I step through the door, I feel like taken care of at Pink Polish. The warm welcome from the staff always sets the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. It's clear that they truly value their customers and make each visit special.

The salon itself is a haven of comfort and elegance. The plush chairs are incredibly comfortable, and the stunning chandeliers add a touch of luxury to the ambiance and it feels fancy and upscale.

Of course, I have to mention the highlight of every visit: the indulgent foot massages during pedicures. #whatinthewow … They are truly heavenly and leave me feeling rejuvenated every time. Honestly, they're unmatched by any other salon I've tried in Seattle. It's a little slice of heaven that I look forward to every time I book an appointment.

Moreover, the quality of the service and products is consistently excellent. My nails ALWAYS look flawless and last much longer than when I've visited other salons. (is that magical nail polish sealer? lol) I don’t know how - but it’s a solid 10+ days longer than when I have gone to other places. I can’t figure it out but it sure is helpful with upkeep cost for folks who do their nails regularly. The attention to detail and skill of the technicians truly shine through in the results.

The staff's expertise in helping choose the perfect nail color is a huge relief for indecisive people like myself. They take the time to understand preferences and my seasonally ever-changing skin tone, ensuring I leave with a color I love. That’s good stuff right there. I haven’t found this all around great experience anywhere else around here and I know how frustrating it can be trying to find the right salon.. took me years and years and..

In hindsight, I realize I should have shared my experience with Pink Polish long ago. But better late than never, right?

If you're in the Ballard area and in need of top-notch nail care, do yourself a favor and try Pink Polish.. you’ll see...

The nail service itself is good, but the timing and everything around the service leaves me frustrated and the opposite of relaxed from a nice treat. I've been three times and each time there was a scheduling issue after booking online.

My end of year spa day present to myself. Massage at dream clinic, mani Pedi at Pink Polish, and onto Olympus Spa for a scrub. During my massage I get a message we need to move your scheduled appointment later, I spent 30+ minutes trying to get through to them on the phone again to say that won't work with my schedule, so then they say ok come now. I received the basic level services without warning due to time and not what I scheduled.

Nice nail service but it was again not the level I asked for.

I scheduled online and went for the end of day on a Sunday hoping no scheduling issues so I can finally try this nicer pedicure. I'm half way through and the manager says we are having a staff meeting soon so as soon as they're done we ask you to sit in the lobby to dry. Ok, disappointed but not the end of the world then they start rushing my service and what sounds like giving my nail tech a hard time for not going fast enough. I'm surrounded by all the staff and then they tell my tech to stop and she looks at me with regrets apologizing and is replaced with someone who will just now quickly paint my toes missing several steps. I reached over for a sip of my beverage to find they had taken it away without a word. She almost wasn't even going to top coat my nails they took it away too.

So I've sadly decided to give up and stop trying here which is a shame because if they could get it together a bit more it would be a fantastic spot for an every other...
