I want to give this place 5 stars because I feel like it has a lot of potential. But I would realistically give it 2 stars at its current state but don't want to hurt their reputation with giving them that low of a score. Basically, I felt it was a little overpriced. Including tip it was over 18 dollars for a cheeseburger and medium drink. The ingredients were very fresh which I loved. The service was prompt and kind. I only waited for maybe 5 minutes for my food with being second in line. However I felt like the burger didn't have much added flavor, I felt like they let the ingredients do the heavy lifting which is refreshing in its own way, but it reminded me of a burger that we make at home on the BBQ. Which to some that may be an excellent thing! I also wouldn't eat inside which is where I feel most disappointed. It was cramped and had maintenance supplies out which didn't feel appropriate. I feel like this place needs some picnic tables outside possibly but not sure there's room for it with the parking lot. I'd try again but also don't know that I'd recommend it compared to other options in the area.

Scooter's is a burger shop that's been in Ballard for a long time. They're a couple of blocks off Market so relatively easy to get to. There is a parking lot here which usually has enough spots available. They have a few tables and bar top seating inside with a couple of tables outside as well. Their menu is a good size, recently adding breakfast as well. Their prices are very high for the portion size you get, and the food is OK but nothing too great. The service here is good, they're always really friendly. Overall, not my first choice to go to for burgers in the area and unfortunately since it's so expensive here, I don't think it'll ever make the list of places of "need to go" to.

Maybe at some time in the past this might of been a great greasy spoon drive in burger place but what a let down it was. Nothing is fresh or remotely char-grilled about this burger. It lacks personality and is the void what burgers should be. Truly the ingredients taste as if you bought them at Costco and prepared them at their restaurant. On top of it all, it wasn't even reasonably priced for what it's worth. The only saving grace for the food was the size. If portions are your thing and don't care anout flavor this is your place. The place is dilapidated and need of a serious face lift. Do yourself a favor and head to Burb burgers just a few blocks away

Scooter's has unquestionably mastered the art of crafting burgers. Several years ago, I had the pleasure of indulging in their mouthwatering creations, and the taste and quality were truly exceptional. However, I cannot overlook the disappointing state of the men's restroom, which left a lasting negative impression.

While the food at Scooter's is undoubtedly good, the condition of the restroom was far from satisfactory. In fact, it was not just dirty; it was downright disgusting. It is disheartening when a place with such great food neglects an essential aspect of the overall customer experience, like maintaining a clean and hygienic restroom.

As a customer, I find it challenging to write a review for a restaurant that has such a stark contrast between its delectable cuisine and the unkept state of its restroom. It is crucial for establishments to understand that a pleasant dining experience encompasses not only the taste of the food but also the overall ambiance and cleanliness of the facilities.

While the exceptional quality of Scooter's burgers may tempt some to overlook the restroom issue, it remains a significant factor that affects the overall impression and comfort of customers. It is my hope that Scooter's management takes this feedback seriously and places a renewed emphasis on maintaining cleanliness throughout their establishment, including their restrooms.

In summary, Scooter's boasts outstanding burgers that are a true delight for the taste buds. However, the unkept state of the men's restroom was a significant disappointment. As a customer, it is challenging to reconcile the exceptional food with the subpar restroom conditions. I sincerely hope that Scooter's addresses this issue promptly, as it has the potential to significantly enhance the overall dining experience for its patrons.

Note: It is worth mentioning that there is a possibility that Scooter's has made improvements and started cleaning their restroom since my last visit. However, I cannot personally confirm this as I have chosen not to revisit the establishment based on my previous experience. I believe it is important to provide this information to ensure a fair and comprehensive review, but it ultimately remains my personal decision not to give Scooter's...

I went with friends and we tried a lot of different items. Here is our ranking of what we tried, best to most mediocre.

French fries! They are battered and so crispy. If you're in the mood for really good fries, this place is a definite yes!

Shakes: so I think how good your shake is depends on the flavor you order. My friend got the peanut butter shake and it was delicious, rich, and had a thick texture, but I got the pineapple shake and honestly I'm not sure it really had pineapple in it....it might have just been vanilla. That said, it was more thin than ideal but the flavor was tasty!

Sweet potato fries: the texture was above average and the flavor was average. Just get the regular fries!

Burgers: average. There weren't any elements that were particularly good or bad, 100% it was fine and nothing more or less.

Onion rings: average/above average/below average based upon personal preference. They were incredibly crispy and very crunchy. The onion was barely present, so if you like crunchy things to dip in sauce and hate potatoes, I guess this is the right choice for you!

Verdict: if nothing else, the fries are definitely worth the trip! I would...
