Came here for a UW event, so we had the place to ourselves. First off, the people here are great! Perfect service and helpful. Now on to the food… the spicy chicken sandwich is now on my list of best sandwiches in Seattle. JalapeƱos, Mama Lil’s Peppers, greens, pickled onions and a sauce that’ll make you wanna smack your momma (don’t worry, this is a good thing šŸ˜‚ā€¦ unless you’re Momma 😳) AND the chicken is perfectly done. Five āļø I tried the Cuban, I think it was a Cuban, and I’ll give it 3.5 āļø. Good pork, ham, cheese, but needed more sauce, pickles as it was dry for my taste. There was a little grain mustard. I can also chalk this up to them making 100 sandwiches and them focusing on speed of service. I want to come back for the breakfast, coffee, that CHICKEN SANDWICH, the ice cream was good too (cookie monster please ā˜šŸ¾)

Was working on Saturday in the U-District. Aaliyah greeted my friend and I. She crafted our morning coffee and strongly suggested the cinnamon rolls. The rolls were fantastic and Aaliyah makes a spectacular cup of coffee. I am hoping to see the evening hours expand so I can stop each night after work. I suggest stopping by and checking it out. It is a cool little spot with friendly people and great coffee. Great Coffee..... it's all I've ever "Wanted"! I look forward to my next visit.

We grabbed a quick breakfast here and thought it was a spacious and casual place to eat and just hang out. It has lots of seating; it’s nice to sit by the windows and look out to the boats and water. We had a breakfast sandwich, burrito, and salmon bagel. The food was okay, nothing to rave about. The breakfast sandwich had good flavor, but the bread was a bit thick, dry, and crumbly. The salmon bagel had a pretty decent amount of salmon, which was nice!

I want to start off by saying this is obviously a management problem, and not an employee problem. However, this morning left me with very little desire to support this business. The kiosk is a joke, and there was only a singular employee working. As a former employee at this establishment, I understand that it’s tough to keep up with the food orders and the coffee orders, hence the reason why we would almost always have two people working, especially on a weekday morning.

With all of that being said, we were greeted by this employee, and my friend (who also used to work here) and I both ordered espresso over ice from the kiosk. We waited for fifteen minutes for the employee to come out from behind the food area. It was almost tempting to jump behind the bar and pull the shots ourselves.

Furthermore, the shots that we received were not worth the price, nor the wait. Again, I want to reaffirm that this is not the employee’s fault. They were kind and trying their best. It seems like the longevity of this business is an afterthought, and I certainly do not recommend supporting this business until they make significant changes for the wellbeing of the space, their employees, and...

Until they changed ownership, this place used to be awesome. I go here almost daily for coffee and at least once per week for food. It used to be the case that I’d walk in and the baristas knew my name and would start making my drink when I walked in the door - I love it - they were so friendly.

Now with new ownership, prices have gone up, they are often out of food items, the ice cream went away, they’ve hired new baristas that are not nice. Worst of all is they’ve gotten rid of the punch card system and moved to a new POS that even the baristas don’t understand. They’ve also removed the couches and changed the decor so the place doesn’t feel warm, cozy, and inviting like it used to.

I hope the new owner reads this: a large group of regulars who work nearby are going to stop coming here and go to the bagel place up the street because of all of the terrible changes you’ve made.

Oh and we miss George, the dog, who also is not a...
