Serious Pie Ballard never fails to impress, and my recent experience reaffirmed why it's a standout in Seattle's culinary scene. The newly updated inside and outside seating areas have elevated the dining experience to a whole new level. Inside, the ambiance strikes the perfect balance between modern elegance and cozy charm. Outside, the newly revamped seating area offers a fantastic setting to enjoy Seattle's vibrant neighborhood vibes. Whether you're soaking up the sun during the day or enjoying the city lights at night, the outdoor seating provides a wonderful backdrop to indulge in Serious Pie's delicious offerings. Speaking of which, the food remains as outstanding as ever. The pizzas, with their signature thin crusts and unique toppings, are a true culinary delight. Each bite is bursting with flavor and expertly crafted to perfection. Serious Pie's commitment to using high-quality ingredients shines through in every dish. Service at Serious Pie Ballard is impeccable, with attentive staff who are knowledgeable about the menu and eager to ensure a memorable dining experience. Overall, Serious Pie Ballard continues to impress with its combination of superb food, inviting ambiance, and top-notch service. We ordered from here last night. I was excited to try it. Our order was a potato pizza, cheese pizza, 2 coconut pies and a peanut butter pie. Cost was a bit higher than I would like but it is a Tom Douglas establishment so I figured it was worth the splurge!

I was wrong! The pizza was barely edible! It was so salty I barely finished 2 small pieces. My husband ate more and regretted it later. Not sure why the need for an excessive amount of salt, seriously.

The pie were actually good but not as fresh as I would hope for the cost and the slices were small. $10.00 for a piece of coconut cream pie would make me think it was some amazing pie and huge!

Now I realize we are all struggling but honestly folks. Quality is key! This was not up to the quality I expected from a Tom Douglas joint. I want people to know this is an actual real review. This is my receipt!

Please work on the quality. I realize that it may be ok for a younger crowd to make things salty to encourage more drinking but wow! You truly over did yourselves on our order.

I am giving 3 stars and to me I am being generous because the pie was good even if it was scant in size.

In Covid times, we tip PRIOR to even tasting your food. It is a show of faith in the quality. Consider this and my review a gift. I hope you will consider making some...

Overall I enjoyed the experience of this restaurant. I came around 4:30pm so kinda an early dinner. It was my first time here so I was a little slow at figuring out what to order. The employee ringing me up was agitated and dismissive but in his defense I was being kinda autistically weird looking at the menu and asking awkward questions. The other employee who was my server was very friendly and was very welcoming. I say in the patio area it has good vibes and they’re playing fun modern funky music. It was a perfect baby blue sky fall Seattle Sunday day. They weren’t too busy. The inside of the restaurant was very clean too. The food was quite pleasant. I over heard the server talking to another hipster customer about how all the ingredients are locally sourced. The preparations were nice. I felt full and not stuffed which is rare with most restaurants. The price was a bit higher than I would have liked to pay but overall fair since it’s kinda a fancy, healthy ingredient restaurant in the middle of a city in Biden 2024 economy. If you’re in the area come...

Wow the service here is impecable. Our server was attentive, inclusive, and knowledgeable. It's giving fine dining energy. Highly recommend doing drinks and cocktails on their patio. Great selection of local beers. The food...maybe we were unlucky and it was their slow Tuesday. An off day perhaps. We had the fennel sausage pie. It could just be a different style and preparation of pizza that's new to us. Visually it was fine. Crust all throughout was unpleasantly dry, not the crispy finish you`d expect. It was confusing not getting a nice crisp clean bite, an unpleasantly spongy and rigid dough. Overall flavor was bland. Objectively, the texture and mouth-feel was inconsistent. To be fair, prepping pizza dough, getting the water and moisture just right, timing, and proofing is skilled work. For $24 of your hard earned money, you can tell which local pizzerias are serious about a consistent high quality product. You just know when they're about it. -Pam James

Visited here twice - both times on weekends. The good: the pork shoulder sandwich was succulent, moist and delicious. The accompanying pickled veggies were refreshing and nice compliment. For breakfast, you cannot go wrong with a biscuit (the Zach is my go-to) as they are meals within themselves. The bad: the huli huli chicken was sorely lacking any kind of seasoning and incredibly dry. Breast is difficult to manage on a smoker and will not cook at the same rate as darker parts of meat. The batch I ate lacked any kind of brine, moisture and only tasted of smoke. That was utterly disappointing. The sides (especially the pineapple relish) was great. At nearly $20 a plate, this is a terrible value. Will definitely be coming back for more biscuits and sandwiches. I do not recommend the chicken.
