We were staying in Seattle for several days on a recent family vacation and were looking for a place to have dinner on our final night in town. We found Silver Tray and I called ahead since some of the reviews said it was a smaller shop to make sure that they could accommodate our group of 8. The owner, Lucky, answered the phone and was so helpful and instantly ensured she could take care of our party. When we walked in we instantly saw the tables had been moved together for our group and were able to sit down. She constantly made adjustments to ensure the sun wasn’t in our eyes as it was setting.
The food was phenomenal - not a single person in our party was disappointed. Our family loves Thai food and each person was able to find some of their favorites on the menu. We shared some spring rolls and crab wontons for appetizers and I enjoyed the green curry with chicken. They were helpful in ensuring an appropriate spice level for each person.
To top off an already exceptional experience, Lucky was incredibly helpful in making sure that a meaningful item was returned to us via mail when it was accidentally left behind.
I assure you, this place won’t disappoint and I cannot speak highly enough of Lucky and her team’s...
Read moreEither the reviews for this place are fake, or they've changed something about how the food is made. My girlfriend and I go out for Thai at least once a week and alternate between a few different places depending on what's open and whether we are at her place or mine. We know good Thai food when we get it, but are fine to settle for the next best option if our desired place isn't available. We noticed Silver Tray had a fairly high rating and were excited to try a new place. We looked at trying several Thai places in the area but decided to go here because of all the high ratings. All three dishes we ordered were a complete disappointment.
The Pad Thai was completely flavorless and colorless. I actually think they forgot to add the spices when cooking the dish. The noodles were overcooked and mushy.
The Pad Kee Mao noodles were also overcooked, to the point of being soggy, and the sauce was not the typical soy sauce/fish sauce flavors but had a tomato base to it.
Tom Kha soup wasn't terrible but still not good. It had a bit of sweet flavor to it and not the typical spicy, sour hot flavor that it...

I came here for the first time on Thursday night and ordered the Pad Kee Mao. The servers were very nice, but the food itself was very sour. There was a strange taste to it, but I figured this was the restaurant's take on the dish so I did not complain and ended up taking a few bites before I couldn't stomach anymore. My previous meal was more than 6 hours prior to this meal and I did not eat anything else for the rest of the night. My last three days have been horrible--chills, fever, and all the horrific symptoms that come with food poisoning. I have been bedridden on my last few days of break, which is valuable time that could have been spent with friends and family before I leave to school again.
This was a very unfortunate experience. I would not recommend this restaurant, nor will I be returning due to risk of food...
