We had a bit of a hiccup in ordering our food. It wasn’t put in. Even though this happened the owner apologized and made it right. After that on his own the bartender came up and apologized. Customer service is a thing at this establishment. Even though we had a minor hiccup they definite up for it. In my eyes customer service is everything. They are spot on with it. Now the food…. As of recently everything on the menu is 100% gluten free! Yes that’s correct. Celiac safe and fantastic! I had the hot link corn dog which was breaded in a tempura batter. Hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. The French fries are fresh and amazing!! My girlfriend had the chicken sandwich, she absolutely loved it, she couldn’t tell it was gluten free. We also ordered the angry beaver burger to go. One of the best burgers I’ve had. Cocktails: they pour a mean drink. Enjoy two but be careful they know how to make em! All in all this place is a must try for anyone looking for fresh quality food! That hard to find bar food. If you like ghostfish brewery in SODO. Make your way to the angry beaver and enjoy some even better gluten free food. We will definitely be back.

The service and atmosphere are fantastic in this semi dive bar. The signage outside plays nicely with the theme inside; funny, yet paying homage to the mother land (Canada). The walls are nearly covered in jerseys from prominent and even obscure teams, some of which are even really cool alternates. What doesn’t have a Jersey has a tv, as the place is meant to showcase hockey. No fewer than 6 TVs and a giant screen show all of the games on at the moment, and rotate through as others start. There was one bar tender/waiter for a pretty packed house, and I was impressed with his ability to keep up. Being from Toronto, I was stoked about the poutine, and while it was better than most found in the states, it still left me a little wanting. The cheese curds were small and cold, not partially melting in the gravy. The meat (I did pot roast) was pretty dry. And the gravy lacked a ton of flavor. I did also get the Toronto sandwich, which was fantastic. Complimenting the food nicely, they serve a plethora of Canadian beer, including Molson, Labatt, and Kokanee. I’ll definitely be back to cheer on my faltering Leafs.

I always smell bbq near here and decided to drop in for dinner and see what was up. I ordered ribs, brisket, slaw, and fries. The bbq was terrible. Total mush, and low flavor. The ribs weren’t just falling off the bone (fail), the act of picking one up would cause it to fall apart entirely. Fork and knife ribs, lame. This is what happens when you either overcook your ribs, or leave them wrapped all day waiting for suckers to buy them. The brisket tasted like pot roast. I was glad for the sauce slathered over everything, which is a bad sign. The fries were fries, and the apple cabbage slaw was actually pretty good.

The service was puzzling. The bartender wanted to talk about how she is from “farm country” and doesn’t understand seattle, and that where she is from people settle their differences with crowbars in a backyard, not with fists in a bar (weird). She also wanted to talk about the superiority of her penmanship in comparison to whoever had previously written out the glass bar menu on the wall. I didn’t want to talk about any of this and kept my replies affirmative and short. She must have resented this lack of attention, because she started burping loudly a few feet away from me. As in like a 4th grade boy going for maximum volume and resonance, wide open mouth and straining. Patrons at the opposite end of the bar heard this and cringed.

This entertainment paired conceptually if not nicely with the lousy bbq. I...

This place used to have really good food.

Went in tonight and got some of the worst service and food we’ve ever had.

Our server walked away in the middle us ordering- which meant we didn’t get to specify our order. She was pretty short with us the entire interaction. She didn’t come back after taking our order so we couldn’t track her down to make sure we were getting what we wanted. Someone else dropped off our food. It was a bit busy for two people to be handling the entire place, I’ll give them that.

The 16$ dollar sandwich my husband got was missing ingredients. It was a slice of meat with a slice of cheese haphazardly tossed onto some bread. Went up to the counter to ask for the missing ingredients and was informed about 10 minutes later that the kitchen was out. So why didn’t our server tell us that? When we ordered? Or when the kitchen figured out they were out? We would’ve gotten something else. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of getting that sandwich. Asked for a refund, never got it or even a discount.

The salad I got had rancid red onions in it.

The poutine had the wrong gravy, but was fine.

We didn’t eat the food. Just paid and left and will...
