I used to love going to Razzis. Great gluten free pizza, and they used to have great service. Today the service was seriously lacking. After spending two and a half hours at Seattle children's my two daughters ages four and seven spent three hours navigating the bus system to get to Razzis and meet up with a friend and her son. Only to end up with mediocre service. Hostess took us to our table and didn't tell waitress that two more would be joining us. Waitress was cold, rude and barely checked in about our food or wether we needed anything. Had to flag her down for extra napkins I got two. When I ordered I felt rushed like she'd rather be anywhere but where she was. Due to Dr appointments friend was running late so messaged to have me order for her when waitress was flagged down to do so she was grumpy, because I felt rushed during my first order I was unable to ask questions I needed which led to me placing another order for a salad and a small gluten pizza exactly like the medium i first ordered (my daughter's ate the whole medium, based on waitresses attitude I wasn't supposed to order anything else). When my friend arrived with her son they were ignored by my waitress. Another waitress brought two tiny plates over for them , friend had to retrieve her own napkins and silverware, when waitress was asked for drinks for friend and her child waitress instead refilled my daughter's cups and mine. She never once attempted to take their drink orders. After a third time asking she brought a glass of water out with no ice. I have eaten at Razzis numerous times in the past when visiting Seattle it was always something we looked forward to. Not sure that is the case anymore. Got the bill only to find out that rather than a small gluten free pizza waitress had ordered another medium one. When waitress was asked about it she snapped at me that I said I wanted another just like the first when I pressed that I had said I wanted a small just like first she took three dollars off my total three bill on table. My kids were well behaved right up till last five minutes. Which is pretty good for kids. I usually tip well. I didn't tip tonight. It was an all together disappointing evening. Throw in me having to run back in for a forgotten item only to hear said waitress complaining about our table. Left me feeling like Razzis has lost some of what made it so special great customer service. Maybe my waitress was having an off night whatever, you do not ignore your table, you do not treat them as tho they are a bother and you'd rather be elsewhere. Every time we have ate there in the past this waitress either was there or waited on us. So I know first hand what her service skills look like when she's engaging and attentive to her table. She was neither tonight. I drove two hours to Seattle for multiple Dr appointment's with intention to eat at Razzis to that end I spent three hours on buses (after splitting with friend who carpooled so she could get to her appointment) with two tired hangry children walked numerous blocks, spent $55 bucks on a meal, recommended Razzis highly to my friend who had never ate there only to be met with substandard service. What should have been a treat for my daughter's myself and my friend ended up being an extremely disappointing time. It's a shame, pizza was great no complaints with it, salad meh, service well it was something even Gordon Ramsey would have been hard pressed to not have given a piece of...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed with my experience at Razzís. I went there last week as my first stop after getting off a flight. I was so excited that they had a separate Vegan & Gluten free menu! I ordered the Pesto Linguine and built my own vegan/GF personal pizza. My partner also ordered a vegan pizza and asked for no mushrooms.
We received a penne (not linguine) pesto dish that was so incredibly oily. The flavor was good but too oily to eat more than a few bites. I did really like the GF garlic bread that came with the pasta.
The vegan personal pizza I ordered came out with real cheese on it. When I asked if it was vegan, they told me no and that they gave me real cheese because the vegan cheese has trace amounts of gluten in it. Why list a vegan cheese on the GF menu if it has gluten in it? And why put real cheese on a pizza that I specifically ordered vegan?! I asked for the pizza to be made fully vegan 3 times and was ordering off the red vegan & gluten free menu. They made me a new pizza and I couldn’t even eat half of it, it was so bad. It wasn’t pizza crust - it was more like a flat bread. It was also incredibly sweet which I wasn’t a fan of.
My partners pizza came out with EXTRA mushrooms instead of no mushrooms. We spent at least 10 minutes picking off all of the mushrooms which pretty much removed all of the vegan cheese. They said the flavor was ok but not great.
We both left with bad stomach aches and will never return. I was shocked that they advertised “allergen friendly” - be very cautious if you have food allergies/intolerances. I really do not think they are being careful about that. The guy that took our order seemed really out of it and we both questioned if he was under the influence of something. He wasn’t helpful at all when we asked several questions before ordering.
We also had to sit on the patio and it was really cold. They only have one true inside table. The enclosed patio was also very very loud. Overall it was a very disappointing experience.
Pi Pizza is SIGNIFICANTLY better and also offers vegan and gluten...
Read moreWent in last night at around 4:45 p.m. We were immediately sat in a booth, ordered our food, got our drinks, and all seemed fine at first. But then we waited, waited... and waited. Our waitress disappeared, and our kids were getting hungry. It soon became apparent what was going on when one of the waiters slipped the busboy some cash and told him that there was an "emergency" and he needed the busboy to go to the store to pick up some organic arugula. After some clarification about what arugula looked like, the busboy was on his way. I assumed our food was taking a long time because the pizza my husband and I ordered had arugula as a topping. However, my son's cheese pizza and my daughter's fettuccine Alfredo didn't contain arugula, so I don't know why they needed to wait on their food as well? Finally, the busboy returned, and the kitchen laughed about how someone accidentally bought too many bags of cilantro instead of arugula. I found all of this a bit unprofessional, and still, no word on our food. Finally, my husband goes up to the waitress, and asks her if they can prepare my daughter's fettuccine Alfredo because she is hungry after having waited for well over 30 minutes. The waitress said, "Oh, that's the dish we had been waiting on." (Lie #1). The cooks then start working to prepare the dish (Mind you, they had been joking around and not doing anything this entire time). Ten minutes later (after waiting 40 minutes), all of our food comes out, and the waitress says, "Oh, sorry, the cooks all arrived late to work today." (Lie #2). So at this point, not only did we have to wait a long time, but we had been lied to...Why?? I have worked as a server before, and things come up, but handling things unprofessionally is what leaves a bad taste in the customer's mouth. A better way to have handled this situation would have been to ask us whether we wanted to wait for the arugula on the pizza, or just to take the pizza without arugula. Additionally, the waitress could have asked us if we wanted to bring the kids'...
