Messy but.. WOW!

I've been a regular at the Truck for more than three years, long before the restaurant existed.

The Bad Lieutenant is kind of the 'go to' with pulled pork, sauce and coleslaw, it's very classic. The ThanksGetting is a huge surprise with sweet and savory. My favorite of them all is one they only have rarely called the Raul Ca$hflow, a play on a Cuban sandwich but with a hotlink and egg, the aioli and pickle make this probably my favorite sandwich of all time.

Like I said, these sandwiches are very messy. Lean into your food! But they're happy to make a sandwich in a "bowl" over home fries or arugula if you absolutely need to 'knife and fork' it.

The home fries are a bit less fried than boiled, but still good, their own style. The Chipoltle Mac & Cheese is my go-to side. The Viking Stew is a sort of potato curry, quite good also.

The cost is a bit of an issue. $10 - $15 for a lunch is hard to justify daily, but once a week is doable. This is a treat for me more than a staple.

The sandwiches are really good here but if you're looking for a convenient place to sit down and organize the rest of your actions while you're downtown this is not it. Would be five stars but don't share the internet password when directly asked for no good reason given they're for profit and they charge $15+ for a sandwich, the least they can do is share the password in the 15+ minutes it takes to eat it to organize your actions for the day. They claim someone was illegally downloading movies as to why they don't share the password, but it's a sit down place where people are there for a grand total of about twenty minutes tops. It was probably their own staff. Plenty of mom and pop restaurants share their wifi and deal with no such fines, and even if this was real, the high price of these sandwiches probably cover it. In fact I've never heard of that happening to any one including much less lucrative coffee shops. I won't be back after seeing...

It takes a lot for me to leave a bad review but here we go. As always the food was great. What rubbed me the wrong way was when me and my dad were standing up to leave still talking not even walking towards the door and 30 seconds hadn’t gone by and this person I think a lady (with short hair)said “hey guys you know we have a bus tub.” As someone who has worked in the industry for over 12 years this is just very sad behavior. It immediately affected the great time we had and made us feel attacked. I never mind bussing my own table but what are we tipping for at that point too. Like everyone else in this city they have their hands out but only want to do the bare minimum. Just super rude and unfriendly attitude.
