I am upping my 4 star review to 5 stars due to community service. I continue to be impressed with the manager, but I do think the staff needs a bit more service focus.
Our first experience was most definitely a five star meal. The manager (we later learned) waited on us and she was fabulous and attentive. My daughter ordered the Thai Veggie pizza and it was fabulous. Unfortunately, she had a bit of an allergic reaction (more on that later), but we otherwise really enjoyed it. Her bf ordered a different pizza (sorry, don't remember the kind) and he liked his too. I only nibbled on hers :-).
The next day, we returned. The experience was not nearly as pleasant. My daughter ordered the "Quentin Florentino" and the cashier kept correcting her, saying "you mean Quentin Tarantino" (back and forth...back and forth). If you don't know the names of the items on your menu, maybe you should not work there or at least you should not argue with customers. I got the Chèvre Roast, which was excellent and again the boyfriend got something I couldn't eat :-).
Meanwhile, the restaurant was extremely loud. I could not figure out where the noise was coming from. I thought it was outside, so I asked the bartender to shut the door. I told him that I could not hear the people at my table. He said that it was the fan behind the bar and that he could do nothing because they were hot. Ummm....well, here's a thought...MOVE US!!!! I am hard of hearing, my daughter spent a great deal of money to come visit her mother and I could hold a conversation with her over our meal. People usually expect to hold conversations over meals when at tourist destinations.
Then, my daughter had another allergic reaction. Obviously, this is not their fault and the manager was super sweet about trying to find the ingredient to which she was allergic. My original review was 4 stars (with having trouble deciding between 3 and 4) because of the one employee who also did not cover his nose with his mask and took it off every time he spoke.
So, why did I still give 5 stars? Today, I was walking home and a homeless man was lying in the street in front of the restaurant. The manager, once again showing what a caring individual she is, was working to get him off the road and to safety. She also told me she had called twice for proper assistance. She and I did manage to get him off the road at least. Not all businesses would go to that trouble (I've seen it before...they call someone then think it's no longer their problem). Bravo...
Read moreI've never really been to Seattle but yesterday I fully visited it and I was amazed of everything the city had that my small town didn't and me and my family were headed to the space needle and got hungry so we decided on pizza and we looked up nearby pizza and we chose this one because it was not so far from where we were and we arrived we sat down it was busy but it made sense since it was the weekend so the waiter told us a seat will be available in a second and we only waited 1-2 minutes then the waiter seated us and a cool thing is that instead of a physical menu we can just use our phones and scan the QR code in the cube and order what we want they had a lot of options, we decided on a large pepperoni, 3 Sugar Cola(I don't know they're name but it's basically coca cola), breadsticks, and 2 Lemon lime Sodas. We didn't wait long and they brought us our drinks the Sugar Cola was good it tasted like those Cola gummies and the lemon lime soda was very good, Then in a few minutes they brought the breadsticks although small were very good and even better with ranch, not a while later they brought us our pizza and it was big with enough slices for everyone and still had extra slices, the pizza was crunchy in a good way the tomato sauce was very good and at first it was hot but just waited a bit and I was eating good I ate about 4-5 slices along with 5-3 breadsticks and the seasoning cheese was good and we didn't pay much considering it's a big city like Seattle so obviously a small town resident like me thought it was a bit expensive but I understand why it's a big city and a higher cost of living but everything was good some of the best pizza I've ever eaten if you ever plan on going to Seattle it's a giant city with a lot of places to go to and if you are looking to go somewhere to eat I definitely recommend Zeeks pizza. Thanks for all the employees for...
Read moreI read many of the reviews before visiting, and they were hit or miss but seemed mostly positive. It just illustrates that a lot of people don't know what good pizza is. First, the service: 'Wait to be seated' means that someone will tell you to find your own table, scan the QR code, and place your own order. They use Toast, which is a good ordering platform and easy to use. I ordered a medium half/half with a Jones soda, and heard their system beep when I placed it. When no beverage arrived my table, I figured it would come with the pizza which was no big deal. 20 minutes later my pizza was dropped off, and after she walked away I had to get someone's attention to ask for my drink. At least he offered a glass of ice with it. The pizza review: Crust: 3/5 - Nice thickness, crispy edge, and good color. It was tough and chewy, comparable perhaps to Little Caesars crust. Sauce: 2/5 - Where there was some it had OK flavor, but much of the pizza was dry from lack of sauce. Toppings: 4/5 - Pepperoni had a nice bold taste, as did the ham. The cheese had good flavor too, and the pineapple was just the standard canned type. Preparation: 3/5 - Good amount of toppings, cheese, and crust thickness was mostly uniform. Size of pizza for a medium was about right. Overall there was nothing special about the pizza, and the service was bare minimum. I can cross Zeek's off the list as having tried it, but there are much better pizza places just a...
