I’ve been traveling all across the US, from New York to California, and from Florida to Seattle, and wherever I go, I make an effort to connect with people and be respectful. However, my experience at this barbershop was disappointing.
When I arrived, I didn't feel welcomed at all. The barber was more focused on his phone than engaging with me, even while he was supposed to be talking to me.
I admit I was a minute late for my appointment (I got the time wrong—I thought it was 1:30, but the appointment was actually at 1:00), and that was my mistake. I should be more careful.
If your business is only open to a specific part of the community or region, I think it’s important to make that clear so people like me don’t waste our time. As an immigrant, it’s disheartening to feel like you’re not welcomed.
I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I believe businesses should make everyone feel valued, regardless of where they’re from.
Edit to response:
First, I wasn’t expecting you guys to cut my hair. If you are able to read, you can see that I admit I was late. The problem is, you guys don’t know how to be business owners. If someone late can and when he ask it if u can cut my hair. You dint look you phone and say no. U can say sorry men i cant there is an other appointment. Do u want me to reschedule it. This is easy communication. Do u want me to teach u more??
If you read my other reviews, why don’t you mention that you are the second location where I’ve written a negative review. I don’t write negative reviews easily.
Did you tell me about respect??? You’re the one who didn’t look the person in the face when talking. I hope you’ll learn one day how not to live in your own bubble and learn to respect other cultures as well. Because you definitely don’t know...
Read moreLast Saturday, my barber cancelled on me the day of my wedding. My wife and I frantically called everywhere with no success. Until we called the guys at Assembly.. even though the website said no walk-ins due to covid protocols, the guy on the phone heard my wife’s frustration and replied “ send him down, we will figure it out.”
And that’s exactly what happened, Andrew found a way to squeeze me in between two appointments and somehow made the whole experience feel as if I was an appointment as well. Wasn’t rushed, extremely professional, and banged out an awesome cut I was proud to rock on my special day.
Over the past year, it has been awesome to see the resiliency of local businesses and these guys are the epitome of that. They set up shop right before Covid and have found a way to keep the doors open.
The place is extremely clean and it is obvious the entire staff is going above and beyond to follow protocols during these uncharted times.
Although it was my first time in the building, it won’t be my last. Every chair had a client and each barber was delivering clean work.
Thanks again, Andrew. Support your local barber....
Read moreSuperior Seattle barber experience!! Bryan saved my hair from a disaster chop at a different shop and turned it around all by doing a great job and being very friendly in the process. Not once did I feel rushed with anything, he even made a few suggestions to make the experience better by customizing the look. I did not have to ask for any adjustments or changes, it was spot on. The other very important factor is how clean the shop is! No hair just laying around the counters or floors. Clean combs, clean capes, and neck strips. Nobody busted out clippers with old hair stuck in them. This made it all the better. Aside from a fresh cut with clean tools, the spot is incredible. Obviously a ton of care went into every aspect of this place, it really shines from the moment...
