Bagels Plus & Deli — Restaurant in Secaucus

My friends and I had been staying at a nearby hotel for the past few days, and we just happened to stumble on this place the first day we were there, and for the past four days we have had breakfast there every morning. Not only are these the best bagels I've ever had, and the best cream cheese I've ever had, but the man, who I assume is the owner, is one of the sweetest guys I've ever met. On our first morning we were feeling kind of lazy after a 10+ hour drive and ordered over Uber eats for pick up, and when we got there he very nicely suggested that next time we just call to avoid the extra fees. Between how nice the service was and how delicious the bagel sandwiches and chocolate croissant were, we didn't even really look for other breakfast places to try after that. Today, while I was waiting for my friends to get through the line I sort of muttered that I was thinking of getting some bagels for the road, and the next thing I knew he handed me a bag of, like, 5 free bagels and just went, "you said you wanted some bagels?"- and there was even a line! If I didn't live in Michigan I think I would be getting a toasted bagel with scallion cream cheese for breakfast every day of my life. Best spot in town! Definitely worth the visit! The staff was amazing fast on my order. I got food within 5 mins. I ordered a chicken casear wrap, cookie, and blueberry crossaint. All three choices were fresh and delicious. They were really accommodating for allergies and picky eaters. The prices were really affordable for lunch.

The chicken cesear wrap is wrap with chicken, lettuce, cheese, and tomato. I actually removed cheese and tomato in mine. They made it right in front of me. I got to accommodate it to my taste likes. The chicken wrap was so delicious. It was my highlight of the meal.

It was my first time ever getting a blue berry crossaint. I'm so happy I did. It was really flaky and delicious.

I grew up going here. This place is the best. Plain Bagel, Plain cream cheese, light jelly, and a Snapple. Fuhgedaboutit.

Edit There is really something to be said about when a person creates a place and they put there entire self and heart into it. It makes a huge impact and difference in many ways. I grew up coming here. 30+ years customer and family. Change of ownership has came with a change in vibe, product availability, and importance of good service. Sadly Jimmy being gone, has caused a change that makes this pleace feel like a regular bagel shop no more special than the next.
