TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THIS ESTABLISHMENT YOUR ENERGY/MONEY/TIME.

I would give it a zero stars. The male manager/owner was very nasty and could not own up to his incompetence, even SMILED obnoxiously the ENTIRE time as I tried several times to communicate my frustrations.

I dropped my Hugo Boss watch (a fault on my part) and the letters “HUGO” fell off. I can admit this has happened before on another watch, and in my experience, I have taken a watch and they glued it back no problem (with no signs of glue residue whatsoever). Now, MINAS JEWELRY… takes my watch and returns it with a VERY obvious crooked “O” with a surplus of glue behind and on top of it, as well as on the “B”…. to add to a misaligned “S”. Upon picking this up, I immediately was shocked and unhappy .. they did not even mention a thing until I pointed it out, and to it the manager/owner said “i won’t charge you” (expected) … and when I asked can he make the “O” straight at least, be responded with “No because it will damage it more if I try” (weird, so I leave and take it to a more renowned jeweler, who then sends it to a watchmaker) .. That watchmaker informed me that the initial jewelry shop used KRAZY GLUE (instead of the actual glue you’re supposed to use) … and that it would definitely damage the face of the watch if they tried to take the letters off (and the first two letters were covered in glue anyway and now looked darker than the rest) …… i took the watch back to Minas Jewelry because I just felt cheated and did not want to just leave it at that. I explained to the manager/owner my frustrations and the facts about what he did, and he just smiled at me the whole time and had a rebuttal for everything… NOT A SINGLE APOLOGY OR ADMISSION OF FAULT WHATSOEVER…. he said things like “This took me an hour”, “I did my best” (which would be ok if it was followed by an apology and a plan of compensation) and my FAVORITE: “I was doing YOU a favor” —WHAT? .. and naturally to that i respond with “This was a service, one that you did not deliver. And if it was your best and you knew this about yourself and your service ability, I would have much rather a phone call to ask if I still want to go through with the repair.” ….. he also told me that “You broke your watch, i fixed it” … 1: DOES THIS LOOK FIXED? 2. He broke it MORE because now the proper watchmakers cannot even fix it ….. and to all that he just smiled and shouted WHAT DO YOU WANT. I kept saying ANYTHING but “i wont charge you”… and then I suggested a watch to compensate, initially he said “you want ME to buy you a watch??” and laughed….. as i grew frustrated he asked the value of the watch and showed me some Michael Kohrs etc etc to which I said it’s not really my style and I liked my Hugo Boss watch and that is why i wanted it fixed. THE LAST STRAW was amidst this he said I had to GIVE HIM my watch (i would have given it to a younger family member who wouldn’t mind the messed up watch) in exchange for what watch I was taking… and when he said he would buy me a Hugo Boss watch he wanted me to leave my watch as opposed to me coming back with it once he has the watch (now you can understand my trust issues with this right now) and to this he was offended (arguably maybe rightfully so I’m not sure, but I see it a compromise to make the exchange once actually had the watch on hand.) At this point I notice how many circles we are going in, and I say It’s OK Have a great day! and walk out in frustration. Please please do not give this place your energy. Because it sure as...
