Man, the best thing about the Secaucus branch is when you leave...
We asked for a seat at the bar because we wanted to have a drink first and then eat later. After ordering two cocktails we decided to stay at the bar and order our food at the bar since the waitress seemed friendly and we didn't want to relocate. We got hungry pretty fast so asked for our appetizer (the new queso dip and nacho) and cheddar biscuits. Right before we got the appetizer the bartender/waitress asked if we were gonna order more food, which we confirmed. We were getting close to 7 so discussed having our dessert to go.
In the meanwhile I saw through the app (gold membership) that we could get 12 free biscuits if we ordered above 15 dollars to go. We took a deep breath and decided to let go of the forgetfulness, order the dessert (21 dollar) and just enjoy the cheddar biscuit over breakfast. When I didn't find the option to add the biscuits to the order, I went to the stand at the door and asked for help and how to add them to my to-go order. The lady there told me I just needed to order the dessert and ask for my extra when I picked up the order. Which I did.
The steak and lobster tail were small, the flavors were ok, but the lobstertail got served cold. The snow crab legs came soft somehow. The macaroni and cheese with bacon was pretty ok, with a pretty sharp cheese. The steak was the best thing on my plate.... We had to ask the guy behind the bar (which I think was in training) for utensils.
When we went to pick up our order at the front, we noticed the promised cheddar biscuits were not there. When I asked, the lady said we needed a coupon (?) And that I should have a code via email. She had to grab the manager, who looked at the issue and told is "she'll take care of you". Turns out that means taking my credit card without an explanation and repeating I need a coupon for cheddar biscuits that are advertised when you open the app!!!!
Next time we're craving cheddar biscuits we'll save ourselves the trouble of disappointing food and service and grab a boxmix at the...
Read moreThere was a 15 minute wait for a party of two for dinner on Monday at 7:30pm. The waiter was quick to take our orders and bring cheddar biscuits. The menu was a bit dirty and I definitely had to wash my hands after touching it.
We each ordered the endless shrimp. I started with the garlic shrimp scampi, coconut shrimp, and Walt's favorite with a side of fries. Then I got the shrimp linguini Alfredo and the grilled shrimp skewer.
I really enjoyed the biscuits. The crust had a wonderful flaky texture and the inside was nice and buttery. I loved the cheese and garlic flavored. These were so delicious that I couldn't stop myself and ate 5 biscuits before our food came. The fries were also good. loved their texture. Crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I had to add salt and pepper, but overall I like them a lot.
The shrimp was solid. The coconut shrimp and the Pina colada sauce is sweet. Walt's favorite was simple and crispy. It definitely needed cocktail sauce though. The shrimp linguini Alfredo wasn't great. The Alfredo and pasta didn't have any flavor and overall it was super heavy. But the pasta can be a nice change of pace from the shrimp. I would recommend eating the biscuits instead though.
The garlic shrimp scampi and the grilled shrimp skewer had a simpler flavor, but still tasted good. I didn't need additional sauce for either one. They are also way lighter than the others, and I could definitely eat way more of these than any of the others.
Overall, it was a solid experience. I enjoyed the biscuits and am glad that I was able to try their...
