We came here bcs of their catering food we ate at a wedding and it was a wonderful experience. Then also host of the wedding who we are close with also recommended this place bcs of their freshness. Also social media and reviews hype was build up on us; so we really went out of our way to come to this Resturant⦠more than 2 hrs only to eat here with family.
Staff is very welcoming and accommodating no question ask. Also they work with in making your experience as best as possible if you are with kids and cater to your kids needs.
Resturant is clean and ambiance is also nice. Bathrooms are nice and clean as well. Plenty of city meter parking outside and on a side of the resturant. One quarter equals to an hours so bring some quarters with you to make life easier.
Food at the restaurant was not hit but a miss for us bcs of the spice level they served us. We ordered all of our dishes with low spice level. Holly Molly me and my family thought we will turn into dragon and will be exhaling fire after that meal. Besides food right after 5 mins have to order desert Kheer which was definitely very delicious and numbed things down a little. Also ordered fries for kids and they were nice and crunchy. Chutney served was spicy as well but must say I can taste the fresh coriander and mint in it and it tasted good minus chili. Goat/Mutton pulao I had expectation of freshness and moistness but nothing was there; also rice seems to be lumpy kind of like cooked a while ago and re heated. Fresh rice which are daily cooked have different texture. Pulao rice were very plain and no broath/yakhni feeling very dry too. I am sorry you cannot just put meat in rice and call it a pulao. You are in the Resturant business and you know how pulao should be moist, with yakhni. Else Naan served was properly cooked from both sides. Grill platter meat were tender but kabobs were spicy too.
All of our food came out quick after ordering and on the menu it says it will take 35 mins for karahiās. Now I am not saying definitely take more time but after eating spicy food I got the feeling they had cooked for someone with high spice level and instead of letting it sit and make fresh they served us spicy. For sure not happy with food.
Positive note their staff is good and so are they as we faced no negativity there but behind the scene in the kitchen is where all the magic happens. Service on one side but food is the deal breaker and sorry it didnāt cut it for us. If that is your low spice level Lol then I donāt want to know regular looks like. It was like sitting in a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt was our first time dinning in. We attempted to dine in on July 4th but it was fully booked so this weekend we reserved in advance, got a confirmation text from them and staff contacted on the day off an hr prior to confirm if we are coming in. Liked, how they were on top of their bookings.
Ambiance is awesome...wall mural, staff dressing.... everything looks good. Our server Nikki, welcomed us by saying.."welcome to Lahore!!!!" The only thing missing was pakistani, Lahori music... they had arjit Singh playing in background on a loop....it would have added much more if it was abrar-ul-haq entertaining our ears...a real son of lahore or coke studio....
Food was good overall... more on Spicer, tikha side even though we asked for mild version. We ordered lahori fish, gol happy, charsi karahi, Peshawri karahi, regular lassi, faloda and chai...
Lahori fish should have served with imli chutney instead of ketchup... it was well made and fresh...
Both karahi were good but goat one needed a little more time as meat was edible but bit on hard side...
Roti and Sesame naans were served hot in a traditional punjabi serving dish, chabbi...
The only thing we didn't like was chai... it came out in a very decorative pot...we ordered 2 cups... but the pot had only 1 cup tea in it... we told the server and she charged us for only 1. The bad part was...it was an old tea....the one which you keep in pot with tea bags and warm every time someone ask for a cup. I am tea addict and the first sip was enough to tell..."the story".
Faloda was good!!
Overall good experience... BUT a lahori restaurant should have pakistani punjabi music with good cha!! Because lour lour ayyyyyyy !!!!!!
Note: staff was nice. Waiting period was literally 2 minutes (for being seated). Our server, Nikki was nice... fun fact...she knew her name meaning in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUsed to be a best restaurant. Became the worst with in a year. This is second time we got undercooked karahi and food. I donāt know whatās going on with the owner with long hairs just wandering here and there showing a lot of empathy to the customers but zero hospitality. Just doing business by showing of young girls for attraction. And some of the server girls just look underage too.
Couple of months ago me and and friend visited the restaurant after a while. We had goat karahi which took 45 mins to get served and still the meat was raw. Upon complain, the server guy just took the food back to the kitchen and bring us back the same meat after 15 mins. No apologies were offered.
We then decided not to come back to this pathetic place.
Today, again we wanted to give it another last try to check if the quality improved or not. But unfortunately we were disappointed. We ordered chicken seekh kabab and chicken karahi. Kabab was tasteless and burnt. Like it was made a day before. Also the chicken karahi was again undercooked. I told the guy about chicken and The guy with long hairs took food to the kitchen without saying sorry and bring the same chicken back after cooking it extra. By the time our garlic naan got cold. And the garlic on them got hard. Again no apologies were offered. Then when they bring the check, we were charged two chicken karahi. Like seriously?????????? Like are you serving to the guests aur giveing food to homeless?? The attitude was like if we are not in the Lahore restaurant but in āThe Lahore Data Darbaarā
Then they correct the bill again. What a pathetic experience again. Will not recommend it to anyone anymore.
Very bad experience. Also music was too loud.
Last visit and a bad visit...
