I am confused by the reviews… did we go to the same place? I picked this place because of the good reviews but honestly they are deceiving. I got the Shoyu ramen and my husband the Sakai. The ramen were pretty blend not really flavorful. $1.5 for a half soft boiled egg topping(didn’t even get the entire egg), and the dish itself was lacking toppings: few corn kernels, few bamboo shoots, some seaweed, a flavorless piece of fish cake and 3 small pieces of chicken…it was mostly noodles. They are clearly trying to save money on the toppings AND spices. The picture of their Shoyu ramen on Google is DEFINITELY a lie (check my picture below before I even touched the dish)

This place is betting everything on the cliché Asian lampoons decorations and Naruto pictures references. I should have known better…

I wouldn’t recommend this place and wouldn’t go back neither. I am sure they are better...

I was hesitant to try this spot, because of the mixed reviews but decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did because there a very few good ramen spots near the area and this is one of them. To me the portion was just enough if you pair with an appetizer, which we tend to do anyway. I feel in American culture we tend to want to receive too much for some reason but then complain when a place isn’t authentic enough (if you want authenticity you need to accept Asian culture doesn’t serve large portions, they emphasis on balance and variety: a little bit of everything)

Which brings me to the second point of my review, I read service wasn’t good and something about the language. I didn’t experience bad service but my waitress was foreign and I actually appreciated that because this IS an Asian restaurant so I adapted. She was sweet and accommodating...

a little confused by the reviews. I wish we had the same experience as most but sadly we didn't. We were seated, waiter took a while to come by. We finally order but we were never offered drinks. Like he literally never asked and randomly came by after 20min with water in red solo cups which i found pretty strange. We ordered an app and entree's. Our entree's came out at different times. My bf's first, then mines later. I built my own ramen and the add on's didn't come out with the bowl or in the bowl which was very confusing. Our app never came out, like at all. I tried communicating that to our server and i dont think he understood me. And then at the end the bill came and they charged us for the app. we had to tell the waiter and they took it off. The whole experience turned me off and the food tbh wasnt that great. A one and...

Went for the first time. We ordered two different ramen but seemed like the only real difference was the egg… that was a bit confusing. Must say both had a very good taste, the meat was juicy and soft. Broth was very flavorful as well. Service was quick. About a 8 to 10 mins wait for the food so not bad at all. Service can be a bit more friendly, not saying at all they were rude but the place was pretty much empty and the person brought us the check without us requesting it or finishing so I thought that was a bit out of place. That would be to improve. Place is super nice well decorated, worth the visit!

My husband and I went to have lunch in this restaurant on our last day visiting New York (we stayed in a hotel nearby). What a great experience! This was one of the best ramens I’d ever tried, and the appetizer (calamari) was delicious too, as well as the iced tea. Finally, the portions were adequate and not huge, like in many other places in and around New York. The lady who served the food was very nice and sweet, and the service was attentive, but not imposing. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who’s staying or lives in the area!
