My wife and I went to Applebee's last night to see what it was like after not going there for about a year and a half. Took a bit to get sat down, which is not a big deal. Usually in a restaurant a waitress will at least get your drinks first thing. We'll not last night. She finally got to us after around 20 minutes. I ordered their 12 ounce ribeye, medium well with the rest of a meal. My wife ordered a sampler and that was ok. After another 20 or so minutes, our food came out. I cut into my steak and it started bleeding, very rare. Well after about 15 minutes or so, the waitress finally came around again to ask if our food was ok. Needless to say, I told her no, but it had been so long since she came around I just started eating it anyway. So she says, " well I can take it back and get you a new one." At that time I had eaten about half of it so I told her there was no point in doing now because of how long I had to wait for that one. She came by one more time to give us out bill and I asked her how much of a discount I was getting off that steak. So she left, for another 10 minutes another lady came back and gave us the bill again. And again I asked how much of a discount I got and she told me she would go ask. We sat there another 10 minutes or so and realized she wasn't coming back so we just paid the bill and left. So it's not necessarily the best service I've had by far. As we were leaving, the hostess told us to have a nice night. I told her to tell her manager that it was a very bad service and I didn't appreciate it. So we left. Places like this think their jobs will be there forever, but they don't want to treat their customers any better than that??? That's why Golden Coral went out of business and I'd imagine Applebee's won't last a hell of a lot linger with people like that working without the right attitude. So uhhhhh, sorry...
Read moreCame in with my husband and our friends after leaving a movie, had a great time even though the food was subpar, we still had a polite waitress who kept checking on us and I’m truly never a complainer unless it is awful all together. Everything was fine up until we got home and I realized I left my keys in the booth. Called them to check and they immediately start accusing our table for not paying for our entire ticket. Which was absolutely not true and we both had proof of that. We went in for half prized appetizers and drinks and the meal we were being accused of not paying for was a shrimp parmesan dish. The manager on shift said he was not going to give me my keys unless we paid for a ticket that wasn’t even ours. They called police and everything just to discover the pair of keys the manager was holding were not even mine. My keys were still in the booth we had sat in and had the manager on shift done his due diligence and checked ticket names/numbers or even the lanyard I specifically described to him (which was completely opposite from these other random keys he was holding) we would not have had to put up with that mess. I understand mistakes and coincidences happen but coming from someone who used to assist in managing a restaurant, there are ways to properly deal with a walk-out and that was not it. The waitress that helped us even said she told this manager we were not the ones that didn’t pay for our ticket yet he was still going to keep (what he thought was) my keys until we paid for a meal we didn’t order. Not ok and I will never, ever be going back to that place. Which is actually very disappointing to me because we frequented there a lot for half priced appetizers after 9. Not worth it to me anymore!! Applebees do better and train your...
Read moreMy daughter ordered the Four Cheese Macaroni Honey Pepper Chicken with bacon. We got the 2 For $27 meal. I had the chicken with shrimp. Mine was a little cold, but she had two small dark hairs in hers. I had to ask for the manager who finally came out! Adrianna, the manager, I asked to speak with after the hair issue made every excuse imaginable for the cook's hair being in the food. She stated that they wore hairnets and one has a cap, completely irrelevant! If they were even ACTUALLY on in the back where I can't see! Our waitress even saw the hair immediately after we got our food and my daughter took a few bites. We called her back over and my daughter showed her and she took it to the back. Noone was going to even do anything to begin with and I had to facilitate "anything being done"! The Manager, Adrianna, was very rude and dismissive! She acted like she had better things to do when the restaurant was basically EMPTY! Employees standing around everywhere and NO MANAGEMENT! We were both sick after leaving the restaurant. I think there was soap on the dishes or something else, along with the hair! Who knows what's going on in the back area, but I will NOT be back to find out! RUDE MANAGEMENT, Nasty back area, and being sick is NOT what I want when eating out! I am an RN and absolutely do not appreciate the entire attitude of the management! People need to know they are getting good service and the restaurant is CLEAN which I feel was NOT a PRIORITY for this manager! Very Dismissive! DO NOT RECOMMEND! Also, they EXPECT you to scan the spot on the table to get the menu which is EASY for them & inexpensive, but rude when someone may not have their phone with them or be wanting to have it out! It is actually EXPECTED! Will...
