McCoy's Coffee Shop Selma — Restaurant in Selma

Waited so long for butter for my waffle that it got cold. They had overcooked it so I asked for another, lighter one. Our server also didn't bring all of our meal together. We waited a long time for my husband's biscuits and gravy and for the ham and cup of fruit I ordered. The fruit was cantaloupe and they left the hard green part on every piece. We finally got everything, then our waitress refills my hubby's coffee AND my TEA with coffee and walks off!!! I caught her when she walked by again and told her what she'd done and she brought me a new tea set-up, but never apologized. I fixed my new cup of tea and as I took my first zip, I see a piece of paper stuck on the inside of my cup. A young man was filling salt and pepper shakers at the counter from filthy containers and there were two filthy coffee pots and rags on the counter too. Then a girl comes and cuts pies on the counter and leaves the pies there, getting pie all over one of the dirty coffee pots. Also, the syrup container was really sticky and there was no pepper in the shaker at our table so I had to swap it out with one from another table. No regular sugar or strawberry jam at our table either so I had to get those things from another table myself as well. By then, I was feeling extremely disgusted and then we got the bill. HORRIBLE SERVICE EVER!!!! My grandparents, my in-laws, my husband and I walked in. Female server said loudly "ANYWHERE YOU LIKE" so we SEATED OURSELVES on a cluttered tabled like ALL other Cluttered tables!( sugar, syrup, hot sauces, ketchup packs in a basket with crackers, salt, pepper, creamers, multiple flavor of jams, etc you get the point) Alot of tables were dirty and it wasn't busy! We waited for 10 minutes to get our drink orders in. After drinks were served, we still DID NOT HAVE MENUS AND SILVERWARE! I had to go to the front to ask for menus! Food was good BUT..... DESSERT WAS HORRIBLE AS WELL! 1/2 a waffle with melted ice cream!! And ice cream was just scattered on the plate. (Not in a ice cream scope style but like a table spoon style, ice cream here and there and MELTED) I should've taken a picture! HORRIBLE! Went in with my family to eat after church in aug 2025 around 1pm. Ordered a burger kids Mickey Mouse, pancake meal, and the chicken fried steak meal my husband‘s burger look burn and dry his french fries look cooked all the way, but had a cold freezer taste on the inside. Tasted like the oil hasn’t been changed I’ve worked in restaurant know that taste all to well. My chicken fried steak had too much gravy on it The eggs were burned on mine and my kids plate and the country potatoes were burning on the outside, but freezer tasting and bitter on the inside. I’ve gone to McCoys sense before it was McCoys and being pregnant I was craving this place and was disappointed in the food the servers were talking about gross things one even gaged while people are eating.
