I wish I would have taken photos. Our experience. It was labor day. Unwilling took friends from southern California who know good Mexican food to another Mexican restaurant, which ended up being closed, took googles advice and came to maz tequila. The place is a sleeper on the outside, but go on in. I cannot rave enough about the fresh drinks. We had both cucumber and jalapeno margaritas. Freaking amazing, fresh and flavorful. Pesentation of drinks was spot on. They have a long list of good tequilas. Next were the tacos. I also cannot say enough about the tortillas. Home made tortillas like I'm used to. We had Carne asada, fish, and Pollo tacos. Excellent! The salsa was good too. We ended up asking for the spocier salsa which was fantastic. I believe you can tell a lot about the kitchen cleanliness by the front area of the restaurant and the bathrooms. Both were very clean. Needless to say , this is our Mexican spot when we're in town. You cannot go wrong here. Enjoy!! I have to say best in the area if not region. Next test will be a burrito taste that I've been in search of since leaving...
Read moreWhen it was California Mexican grill it was pretty good. It is now Mas Tequila. Very disappointing experience. To start with, they did not have mild salsa. My daughter ordered a single burrito supreme but they charged us for the lunch special which included rice and beans. They did not give her rice and beans. If they were going to charge her for lunch special then they should have given her the rice and beans. My lunch special came with rice and beans but they did not bring me the beans. I had to tell the waitress twice about the beans. When I got the beans, they had no flavor and the rice, although had a good taste, was slightly crunchy (undercooked). The staff was really nice but appeared to be really struggling with the...
Read moreWe arrived the day they opened after renovations, so please keep that in mind. After entering, we sat at a table and ordered our drinks first, then ordered our food. My mom got enchiladas and I ordered their Molcajete Y'Tierra I believe. The Molcajete had no price, which was concerning since I wanted to know how much. It took I believe 45minutes for our food to come out, which must've been my order preparation. Although my mom was restless, I paid it no mind. The Molcajete was delicious and a lot of food. My mom enjoyed her enchiladas also. In the end, the Molcajete costed about 40$. Pretty steep, but delicious nonetheless. Other than the lack of updates on our food, it was a...
