Seoul Food: A Flavorful First Visit – Definitely Not the Last! We recently visited Seoul Food for the first time, and it certainly won’t be our last! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the welcoming vibe and unique menu, full of authentic Korean dishes. Our server, Rhayne, was fantastic—helpful, friendly, and super knowledgeable. She took the time to explain the different flavors and dishes, which made navigating the menu much easier. We started our meal with the Korean corn cheese, and it was the perfect first course. Warm, creamy, and delightfully cheesy, it was pure comfort in every bite. The sweet corn paired perfectly with the gooey, melted cheese—a simple dish that packed a lot of flavor. Next, we enjoyed the grilled beef bulgogi, which was tender, perfectly seasoned, and full of savory goodness. The bulgogi came with a side of tangy, spicy kimchi, adding just the right amount of heat and crunch to balance the dish. We also couldn’t resist trying the dakgangjeong, boneless Korean fried chicken, and it did not disappoint! The crispy coating was tossed in a sweet, sticky, slightly spicy sauce, and the chicken inside was juicy and flavorful. This dish was addictive, and we’d go back just for that alone! Overall, our experience at Seoul Food was fantastic. The food, the service, and the atmosphere all made for a memorable visit. We can’t wait to come back and explore more of the menu! If you’re looking for authentic, delicious Korean cuisine, this spot is a must-try. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Edit 10/26: we got some food to-go, and the 1/2 Yangneom fried chicken was WONDERFUL (it’s in a barbecue-style sauce; be mindful that it’s bone-in). Very good paired with japchae noodles. We also got a gimbap roll-those 3 entrees together were a perfect meal for 2. Thrilled to get a Korean restaurant in Oconee County-it was so nice to not have to drive all the way to Greenville. Service was timely (we went at about 5:30) and the restaurant was clean and the servers were attentive and nice. I would have liked more seasoning and spice in the meat dishes, but they were still good; typically with grilled platters there ends up being more char and grill and caramelization as they sit, but the platter seemed to be used more as a plate so it cooled down the food and I love when it’s hot and continues cooking the food for a while (like fajitas at a Mexican restaurant). I’m holding out too much judgement since they just opened and I’m sure they’re fine-tuning and assessing what their customer base is. The meat itself seemed to be good quality. The sides were fine, and I’m going to ask for lettuce next time to make wraps. I’d like to try some of their noodle dishes and the dub bob as well. There does seem to be an emphasis on hibachi, which I hope gets people who haven’t had korean food through the door because I love having restaurants like this in the area! Please support businesses like this so we get more varied food types in the area!

I am always excited to try something new. I went into this restaurant with an open mind. I left with what I am assuming is food poison. I was sick for an entire week before it all subsided. I gave them a 4 star because I was the only person in my party to get sick. The atmosphere was nice and quiet. The waiter was attentive to our needs. He also brought us fork as backup, we were very proud to have not needed them. The food presentation was great. When it came to table we were excited to dig in. We order a beef Bulgogi, grilled pork belly, and I believe a rice bowl with chicken. To me the food by itself was bland resulting in me adding salt for flavor. Along with the salt, the different kimchi flavors and sauces we were able to try different combinations with the food we ordered. My party is interested in trying it again l, I am apprehensive but will get it another try after in due time.

I have been here 3 times. The food is excellent and one of the only places (if not the only) around here where you can get korean food or anything close to authentic asian cuisine. This is the only reason I come back. The service is very lacking. I have been here at busy times and 1 slow time (2 customers). Both times felt as if the waitresses were just there to hang out and gab with eachother. I was not visited on my last dining even once to see how everything was or if something was needed. I actually had to get up to request things, and even then the waitresses' concerns felt ingenuine and almost felt like "i gotta hurry so I can go back to texting..."

My last visit that was busy, we requested a large table shortly after being directed to our seating (there were 5 of us), and we were kindly told that it was reserved for party of 6. No big deal. But- they immediately sat a party of 5 right there. I was a bit peeved to say the least, simply because it just seemed they just didn't want to deal with the hassel of moving us over.

Bottom line: Great food, unique cuisine to the area, and I will keep coming back just for the food. But if you want napkins for your spills, be prepared to get them yourself from the bar counter. The waitresses I had seem to care more about a paycheck, and had very little perception or care of what's going on...
