Hot dog what a hidden gem. This is some of the best Mexican food on the Peninsula. I ordered 3 pork tacos and the beef enchilada platter. Beans on street tacos is a little different but I didnt mind the change of pace. The tortillas were well cooked, pork was flavorful and crisped up nice, cilantro, onions and a wedge of lime for every taco.
While I usually prefer shredded beef in enchiladas as opposed to ground, they were generously loaded and had great flavor. The re-fried beans are just a tad on the salty side but have excellent flavor. I think you would be hard pressed to find better re-fries in Clallam county. Salsas are solid and they aren't afraid of adding a bit of spice, if you are intolerant to spice maybe ask if they have something mild, but for me it was perfect. The piece de resistance for me would have to be that rice. Rice seems to be be an afterthought for a lot of Mexican restaurants and maybe its an underappreciated dish in general, but holy cow has David's nailed it. The texture and flavor is perfect and probably the best I've ever had. I would seriously come back here just for the rice alone.
If you've never been and are in the area, check them out, I'll...
Read moreI'm new in town and I'm always questing for delicious Mexican food
Particularly San Diego style
I asked them if they can make me a couple of carne asada tacos with guacamole carne, asada, and pico de gallo
Wow
Exactly what I was looking for
I didn't know, but they also threw in some chips and salsa there were fresh out of the heater
The red sauce and green sauce is delicious; particularly the red sauce that had a nice hot bite to it but was still very flavorful and not overpowering with the heat, just enough to get your eyes watering and nose running a bit
It's so good that I don't feel like I need to go try any other places
Next time I go I'm going to see if they can make me a carne asada burrito and of course a cheese quesadilla
I'm not positive they have rolled tacos? If they did that would...
Read moreI was really excited when they opened this taco place. I prefer this type of Mexican eatery as opposed to a more formal Mexican restaurant like for example Baja cantina. I feel those places are pricey because you're paying for the atmosphere & staff, & the food is usually average. This place has got good food, a bit pricey unless you get the lunch specials which are more reasonable. They also nickel & dime you, charging for take-out containers & things like that. Also, coincidentally they always seem to have a family emergency that causes the place to shut down for about 2 months around the holidays. The order takers are usually courteous, the 2 cooks behind them, not so much. Overall, I recommend the food here, take advantage of the...
