I purchased a full sized strawberry pie for a special occasion and it was simply PERFECT! It was not only beautiful, but it was divinely tasty. The shortbread like crust was perfectly baked and the strawberries and whipped topping were excellent. Judy went back and forth via email with me to give me just what I wanted. After complimenting her work, she expressed how the recipe was a family recipe, and that just made my heart even more happy & grateful to support small businesses like this one. We also purchased sandwiches which were excellent as well. Highly recommend this cafe for any of your homemade dishes!!! We will be back!

I went to this place on vacation from a referral. I ordered 2 sunrise bowls $20 a piece (all it is is a bunch of spinach on the bottom with a warm egg on top with a 2" piece of reindeer sausage, and 2 tsp of fried potatoe ) and hot chocolate and it was watered down, I asked for more cocoa to be added and the employee put in a cheap tsp more like the lights were getting shut off or something. Then on top of that, they took the lid off (where I put my mouth) with the palm of their hand and was gonna put it back on the cup. They were on the cash register and all over the place touching stuff, eeeh. Then my husband asked the cashier if they had salad dressing and they told him no. (so they expect us to eat dry salad). Then he asked someone from the kitchen and they said yes, so they do. No seasoning on the eggs, plain. I should have spent my $55 somewhere else. The staff has no MOJO to be 1st friendly nor 2nd HELPFUL. Acted like a burden to be asked anything and no a cheap place to eat. Expected better service and hospitality !!!!!

Zudy's was amazing! I got the Oakie sandwhich - delicious bacon and cheese and havarti panini sandwhich, cooked to perfection and perfectly crispy! I also got the Homemade Wild Salmon Clam Chowder. And wow. That was the best damn Chowder I've ever had. I only got a cup now wishing I got the bowl. It had so much flavor and the salmon was so tasty, absolutely amazing! As a sweet treat I got the duffin, it was deliciously sweet and soft - melted in my mouth. To drink I got the hot cocoa served in a cute mug and very tasty. The atmosphere is calming and the workers are welcoming while having an amazing view. Thank you!

My husband and I absolutely love Zudy’s! The moment you walk in, you can tell it’s a special place; between the wonderful staff, the fantastic food, the fresh flowers and the stunning view of the bay, it really makes for a treat to have a meal there. And don’t get me started on their cheesecakes! Oh baby, those are quite something! Matt and I were married 2 years ago here in Seward and we both agreed that Zudy’s Raspberry Cheesecake was what we had to have for our cake😊 We purchase one each year to celebrate our anniversary and we always point the guests we host at Oz Lodge in Zudy’s direction!😋 -Heather Ozerkov

I had high hopes for this place given the reviews, but for us it was a bit of a miss. We had a latte, a mocha, and two paninis. Every thing was fine, but I wouldn't call it anything beyond that. The mocha was good, but the espresso in the latte tasted a touch burnt. I thought $43 for a couple sandwiches and coffees was a bit ridiculous, especially when nothing was really above average quality. The service was reasonably good, but I would not return.

This is a secret gem in Seward , you will Not find a better cheesecake anywhere in America. I had to try a second piece and they both just melted in my mouth and the flavors are blended to perfection. The food is really good and portions are generous. The service makes you feel like you are at Mom’s house, Don’t miss the chance to check this one out if you’re in Seward, but try to get there before 3pm or your too late. Thanks for the Love Judy👍👍❤️
