So I don't normally go crazy with reviews... and I don't hold high expectations at fast food places... but this place has actually lowered them.
I'll admit I'm one of those crazy people who likes to stretch my legs a bit, see if there's anything new on the menu, and order in AC before consuming 1200 calorie meals... but when the inside of most fast food places are empty and the drive thrus are wrapped around the buildings... Is it really that crazy? At most places, ordering indoors works out fantastically... at this mismanaged establishment... not so much...
I've tried ordering here numerous times and at varying times of day hoping maybe arriving at off-peak hours might improve things. I've only received reasonable service from an employee once. Part of the issue is the staff are not only assigned to stations that mainly serve the store encompassing drive thru lines, but they also rely HEAVILY on automated kiosks that on some days are out of order or look like they've seen better days.
-- Service --
There are no menu boards, and some owner/manager there got it in their head that all customers should pay credit at the kiosk and their orders would be automatically submitted. So here's the snags:
To give an example, I went today around 2:00pm and saw an empty bracket where the CC reader should be... Clicked pay in cash. Went to the counter and didn't even get a "We'll be with you in a moment" from either of 4 people standing there... Nothing! No response... Waited several minutes and then left for the Mcdonalds across the street. Had a guy order online waiting next to me for at least 5 minutes as well... also being silently ignored... and wondering if the lone bag left on the counter was his...
--Food --
I would have given the food 3 stars since on average it's about what you'd expect as far as traditional fast food and/or Wendys goes... but there has been a few times where I've gotten gross chewy chicken and/or soggy fries that I just threw out and ordered food elsewhere.
-- Atmosphere --
To give some credit, the inside is somewhat well kept so I do have to give credit for cleaning... There's been times the tables have needed to be wiped down and the soda machine restocked. It is a bit weird to have both rest rooms share a common sink though...
They also have a small outdoor patio area which would be nice during...
Read moreDrive thru awful we were told to several times to wait before actually placing order. Only one car in front of us. After 15 minutes of waiting asked how much longer we had to wait to place order. Order was taken drove up to pay cashier who was texting on cellphone and never smiled or said a word during or after taken payment. (Nothing like service at Chic Fila, smiles and thank you) sat at next window waiting for anyone to look at us after 10 minutes waved down employee asking to speak with manager. 5 minutes later manager JJ was advised of complaints of long wait, cashier texting and ask why its been over 30 minutes to order food. JJ the manager said sorry do you want a cookie or frosty for free. Decline his offer just wanted explanation of the issue. JJ manager replied you want your order for free. We said no we don't want anything gor free but the food we order and paid for. Casher said just another 2 minutes for your nuggets. Sat another another 15 minutes waiting. 45 minutes is NOT fast food. Drove to McDonald's Seymour less minute away for two happy meals four cars in line took less than 4 minutes to place order and have food. While driving away realize Wendy's forgot to give a full size salad we ordered. Return to Wendy's asked for manager JJ who looked directly at us as employee told him but he continued to wrap food on line for another 5 minutes until employee told him we were still waiting. Told manager they forgot to give the salad we paid for and saw cashier on her cellphone again. Manager replied he talked to her about it already. At this point we requested his previous offer of full refund. Manager was asked again why it took so long for service and food to be delivered. Manager never answered the questions and offered a free cookie or frosty again. Again decline his offer as he walked away to make a salad. Manager made the salad and left the salad on the counter in food area and walked away towards back only to return 5 minutes later looking for dressing located near the drive through window. By this time all the food was cold and not happy with Wendy's fast food restaurant. Still can't figure out why it took so long with so many employees working. Hopefully owner can figure it out and save...
Read moreWorst. Experience. Ever. After a joyful day of sledding, I thought I would take a trip to Wendy’s to get a parmesan caesar salad. As I pull up to the drive thru, I ask for my Parmesan Caesar, although, they only had the cobb salad and the taco salad. I chose the taco salad. When I received the taco salad, after spending $37 on my order, I noticed that the picture on the menu was wildly deceiving. What I received was lettuce and cheese in a small plastic container with a small black label stating: “TACO SALAD.” It came with a delightful little cup of salsa on the side as well. What a nice little touch! The taco salad is advertised as having tomatoes; sour cream; chips; chili and more. Not sure if all the employees at this Wendy’s are jacked up or half-dead, but I’m pretty sure a taco salad is not cheese and lettuce standalone…but it’s okay! Let’s allow this establishment to set the expectation of what a “taco salad” is. Honest to God, this should be removed from the menu. It’s better to under-promise and over-deliver, not vice-versa. So let this be a lesson to any food chain that wants to add a taco salad to their menu…it’s more than just lettuce, cheese...
