Zeng's Garden Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Shallotte

I ordered thru door dash. Was hoping to imagine my favorite meal of many years ago: steamed dumplings and lemon chicken and ordered some lemonade. The dumplings came crushed down in a plastic container. Most were more dumpling than filling. Poor tasting and sauce just doable. The chicken was laid out in a regular dish in two layers with large pieces of steamed broccoli underneath. Chicken was fried in thin strips and mostly overcooked. Unimpressed! So I went there many years ago and disliked it. I went in with an open mind though hoping I would like it! But that didn't work! I got take out. I walked in the light's were out, it was a Sunday, weird! I visited Zengs Garden today and was extremely disappointed with today's visit!! Ive eaten here many times over the years! It has always been my favorite place to eat! Many of the item's on the Buffet just had no flavor at all!! The Hot and Sour soup was hot but not sour!! My favorite Chicken and Broccoli was just Bland! There were no Salt and Pepper shakers only packets and the salt packets were thick with moisture so the salt didnt come out!!What has happened to this place!! So disappointed in this...
