Trying to be fair... I’ve been there a handful of times, and the food is fine, atmosphere is fine, no crazy messes or issues with the products. But what ruins the experience for me: (some) employees lack basic customer service skills. As in, their demeanor makes it seem like they don’t want to be there or they don’t want to serve you. Coming from the service industry, I can look past a lot of service issues when it’s slammed or there are new people who are slow, etc. But almost every time, the poor service is when it’s not busy. In that case, there’s no excuse for not greeting people who walk in (awkward when it’s empty and they just watch you walk up), then not saying hello or even smiling before asking what you want. Using the last tiny amounts of product & I have to ask for more instead of them just automatically getting a new container to be sure it’s enough. You shouldnt have to tell them— it’s rude to use the last scrap of product regardless of if it’s enough. Plus not asking if you’d like anything else so they start ringing you up, and acting annoyed when you need something else. But then not even remembering 1 of the 2 things I asked for. I didn’t ask again, clearly it was an annoyance to purchase more things. I hate feeling like I’m inconveniencing the staff by ordering more. In any good business, they should be upselling— not the opposite. And I’m not saying you have to be fake and chipper and hold a conversation... but no greeting, no smile or pleasant tone, no “thank you,” at the end, no “you’re all set,” or even “have a good night” are all areas lacking basic customer service. I’ve never experienced this lack of service at other Qdoba locations, as they usually exceed service expectations every time. I wish that was the same...
Read moreProbably the worst Qdoba I’ve ever been to. I was happy to have a fresh new restaurant around when it opened but have had maybe 2 positive experiences at the store since opening day 2 years ago. Consistently out of ingredients (black beans and jalapeños last time I was in, fajita veggies often, different meats, etc.). Management is indifferent to the issues and I’ve even heard one sound quite upset that a customer had so many requests on his bowl. Team members look like scrubs and work with absolutely no sense of urgency. Very lax atmosphere which is leading to poor quality, service, and cleanliness.
Get it together guys.
EDIT: for anyone wondering, qdoba reached out via email and basically just offered free food. I declined since this isn’t for a free meal, I genuinely want them to address the issues at this location.
EDIT 2: in good hopes of an improvement, I tried to order Qdoba during the Stay Home order on 4/13. see photos for the quality they’re sending out to people spending $14 for ONE MEAL. Honestly, won’t make the mistake ever again. Maybe half full bowl that includes rice, beans, chicken, cheese, salsa, lettuce, queso, sour cream. Chipotle has trouble closing the lid when I order from there. Qdoba has trouble...
Read moreMy experiences with this place are mostly good. Every single time I've gone, the staff is pretty young but they seem to be quite mature and decently hard workers. Even when I went in and their cash register was not taking credit cards, this one young lady was calculating all the prices and tax on paper and keeping records of everything in order to get people back their cash properly. That's a skill I thought went out 20 years ago.
It's usually pretty good food but sometimes I think they just leave it out way too long. I've had a couple of incidents where the meat is extremely chewy or the cheese is just smelling kind of bad or the lettuce is all will be limpy. So I think they could try to change out the food a little more often and not leave it all day.
Lastly their stores usually pretty clean as far as the counters and the tables. But the floor is always always absolutely always sticky and gross. I'm not sure they have ever mopped since the store opened up.
So all in all a pretty good place. Mop the floor once in awhile (this coming from somebody who's not a neat freak at all) and make sure especially with the meats and the cheese they are changed out more than once a day because they get...
