Savvy Sliders — Restaurant in Shelby Charter Township

Wow this Joe Biden shrink inflation is unreal. While the food was decent and the service was aloof making me needlessly wait while my food was already made but no one was available to greet me for what seemed like way too much time.

I guess the girl who runs the register was doing something else so someone else from the back eventually and very reluctantly had to come handle handing me my order.

I ordered a vanilla shake so half jokingly I asked if I had to make my own since instead of a made shake I was handed an empty cup? The fella explained that he read it wrong and started to make my shake but he seemed totally untrained and aloof as to how to make one?

After he made most of my shake the regular cashier finally came from I believe the restroom area explained that she already made it. Kudos to the guy who was having a lot of trouble he completed the shake although made a mess.

With how long I waited it would had been nice had they just given me the shake she made as well but that wasnt in the cards.

Strangely between the making of the shake and going to my car a lady bug tried my shake and by the time I got home to get her out she likely died having the whip cream vanilla shake as its last meal.

That or they have bugs hanging about?

My order that costed me over 8 dollars was one very small and fancy white castle like slider Small french fries & vanilla shake w whip cream. About a year ago I would have gotten 3 burgers instead of just one at this price point or cheaper.

Sad, while the food was okay. The place was not busy and no way should I had to wait as long as I did. As to the rest of the confusion and the bug in my drink eww.

Also normally they use fancy boxes but unlike past orders? This time my food came in a small paper bag...

Upon arrival, a woman was choking. I'm serious. I know that sound. It's a "whistling", you're getting no air. She was standing over the garbage can and they were getting ready to do the Heimlich as I was going to get the CPR kit from my car but then she started coughing which is a good sign. She started breathing again and sat down.

I decided to order. Nothing special about the food. I waited 20+ minutes for a carry-out for a single person with nobody in line in front of me and a whopping 3 of the 40 seats inside occupied. I didn't order anything special either. ""A #2 combo", please". How much easier can it get for them? This is fast food that is slower than a Taco Bell drive-thru as of late. Oh, and a "combo" doesn't include a beverage, that's $1 extra. Since when has this started? To boot, the "pop" was flat.....and small.

$13.75 for a fast food meal gimmick.....for ONE person. You're paying $3 for the fancy box and wrappers I'm sure. Millennial's love this though. I still have Hudson's suit bags, but the suits had substance.The bags were probably $3 and the suits were $400. It's all flip-flopped now.

Another Grand Opening, Grand Closing in the makings. And "spicy" falafel sliders? C'mon now! They're cashing in on the "sliders" trend while patronizing Arabs and Middle Easterner's with some "Mediterranean slider" version too. Telway in Detroit and Brays in Westland had "sliders" before a White Castle even existed.

Chicken was "thick" so an extra * for that BUT, ,as others have stated, it's over fried to the taste of burned.

Gave this place a shot late one evening after work. The Steak slider was really good. The Angus was meh- not really flavorful. Just a kind of bland little burger. The crinkle cut fries were cooked well but the overall flavoring was just bland with no seasoning and didn’t make me want to eat more of them.

Also had the wings box. Sauce on the side is kind of weird- essentially they were just deep fried chicken wings (again really bland and not seasoned at all) with a cup of dipping sauce. I had the Boom Boom sauce and the Savvy Sauce - both were not great. Ended up not finishing the wings box. It also came with fries and a piece of Texas toast. There was something about the toast that was not good. It just had a super deep garlicky, almost fishy taste. Too much garlic to where it just didn’t taste right.

Overall I paid $25 for two boxes- and did not really enjoy much besides the steak slider. The price is way too high for the quality of food you get so I probably won’t return. Just overall not really good food. I don’t think it’s the cooks fault or anything like that, because it was all made well and looked great. I think the recipes for this business are just not great- and that’s more of a chain issue rather than an individual restaurant issue.

I will say the staff were awesome and the restaurant was in tip top shape. The young guy working the register was extremely polite and helpful and overall my experience with those two aspects...
