So Here's my review : Atmosphere : Upscale, transitional with mixed surfaces and warm colors. Very inviting, exceptionally clean (I mean noticeably clean). Service : Immediate, friendly, attractive and attentive. Food : I ordered something called the "The Hash Bowl" and chose the 'Protein Packer" option. It consisted of Two eggs over easy atop fresh, seasoned potatoes. Served with whole grain artisan toast with all-natural house made jam. The protein option added house made chorizo, bacon, sausage, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese. $12.29 Coffee black $2.49 Iced water carafe I am pleased to report that the meal was scrumptious. I am usually the guy that covers my egg meals with salt, pepper and hot sauce. (Tabasco or Franks, depending on the mood). In this case I held off and decided to let the dish speak for itself and I'm glad I did. The seasoning on the diced potatoes is a perfect blend of bitter and sweet. It actually dominates the flavor without overpowering it, leaving no need at all for salt, pepper, etc. The Chorizo, bacon, sausage and onion don't fight with the potato's, instead all of the flavors complemented each other and became one amazing culinary delight, the runny eggs adding just the right amount of moisture to aid the more dry ingredients. In summary I'd say this is a top notch, very well managed breakfast / lunch / brunch location with fantastic menu options that diverge a bit from the norm but are prepared and presented exceptionally well. The price tag reflects the premium ingredients and preparation but is well worth it to treat yourself on occasion. I am not a compensated food critic nor are my tastes sophisticated enough to provide any professional recommendations. I'm simply a guy who loves food and likes to talk about it, hope you enjoyed the review and let me know if you try Bread and Roses and what you think about...
Read moreThe farm Greek yogurt bowl and chia pudding and mushroom omelet all look good.
The interior is modern, loud and energetic.
6 counter spots and 3 two tops and the rest of the dining are for 4 or more parties. A bit more of a wait for 4 or more for sure.
Elisa waited on us, she is nice, quiet, but checked up on us and was attentive.
Ordered Hash bowl with protein packer, farm Greek yogurt, croissant and yolk sandwich with egg over hard, side of salad and side of fruit too. $62.06
The hash bowl is good, tasty, even better with Cholula sauce. Big artisan bread, which on its own is bland, the carb block is more palatable with their homemade mixed berry jam.
The farm Greek yogurt is pretty good, good amount of each fruit and granola, didn't skimp on the toppings. The muffin of the day is chocolate muffin, it was okay, sparse on chocolate for me. I put some of the mixed berry jam on it to make it better.
The croissant and yolk sandwich has two thin slices of the chorizo chicken sausage, which was really yummy and super flavorful. The spices of the chorizo sausage is well paired and accompanied by the arugula, pickled onions, Gruyère cheese, it all comes together so well. The side salad was really fresh and yummy too.
The fruit bowl was okay, the cantaloupe and pineapple were a bit under ripe, the rest of the fruit was good.
The food quality and service were all good. A really good experience. Would come back again for the croissant and yolk sandwich anytime.
Well worth the visit...
Read moreIt’s been a while since last posting a high recommendation for this restaurant and so goes an update today. I am a regular here and to watch in motion the staff at work that seems seamless and extremely functional. The food, plentiful, flavorful challenges your taste buds.. the beverages are great and my favorite the Tirana Heat, a soulful drink from Mexico is awesome…now the people, from Val, Israel, the waitstaff more like friends now, are extremely focused on customer service at the highest level possible… from 7am to 9:30ish finding a table is relatively easy, after that, all bets are off if you haven’t made a reservation… the place shines with cleanliness and always bussing quickly tables for the next guests….you really need to visit and check out all of the menu of the best dishes and full of flavor…. So, today’s fare at Bread & Bread & Roses I asked for a favorite, scrambled eggs & Cheddar cheese, but had an occasion to chat with the Chef who created a salsa with a bit more kick(picosa) or hotter to go with my eggs, applewood bacon, fruit and coffee… so good was this, I failed to take a photo! Finishing, I notice a drink special in preparation, a B&R House Infusion-citrus vodka, watermelon, pineapple and Cranberry … so, serve me up one, please! As Family is extremely important to the owners, their hours are abbreviated from 7am-3pm… I really like these people… it’s the small things the do...
