Michaels — Local services in Shelby Charter Township

There's only 1 reason 1 gave 5 stars, a wonderful employee names Weston whom I I found in the framing department. My goal when I arrive was to hopefully find a xmas tree for next year. There were few left, but the one I liked was a display. There was no SKU or model number. I went to find someone to assist me and there was not an emploton the sales floor!! I finally went to the 1 cashier at he front who understandably couldn't leave his post, and then went again in search of assistance. I found Weston in the framing department who was more than happy to help. He actually called someone at another store and obtained the numbers necessary for the sale. It took se real minutes but, he was extremely pleasant and determined to help. Thanks to him I got a tree for next year !! He even loaded in the car for me. Bring a former customer service manager I was impressed with his willingness to to whatever it took to help me. THE ONLY REASON I'M GIVING SUCH A HIGH RATING IS THANKS TO HIM !!! I sincerely hope he's given the credit due for such a wonderful job ! Thanks for doing above and...

I am a craft junkie but despite this Michael's being much larger than the one closer to my home, I don't like to shop in-store. I always use coupons and I'm very familiar with their very specific coupon policy but their cashiers don't seem to be. I've had them tell me I can't use a coupon, without even scanning it. Or not honoring my competitors coupon even though it's clearly acceptable. So then I have to wait for a manager to come up and handle it. I'm always very polite but they are agitated because I want them to do what I know they should be doing. So selection is good but employees can be a bit moody...not always...

The only reason I come to this store is because its literally across the street but I think that is about to stop and I'll drive to Hall to get what I need.

Employees always look bored and disgruntled. Never greet people as they enter the building, if you ask for help they take a deep breath and sigh, and the last time I shopped there the sales girl mumbled something under her breath several times before I left, one of them being "Just F--- off."

Firstly I did nothing to deserve that so I dont know where her anger was coming from but seriously, get a new staff...
