Asian Bistro & Bubble Tea — Restaurant in Shelby

The Boba is the best I've ever had and everyone there is nice. However I've been here twice now and ordered 3 different dishes and have decided to not return. The food is expensive but I'd be okay with the occasional splurge if I enjoyed it. The food is just okay. The ingredients are fresh but are pretty bland. This last time I chose my toppings only to be told after I paid, that two of the main toppings I wanted were out of stock. I was the only person there and it took over 20 minutes for a poke bowl and miso soup. It was very warm inside so I ordered to go and was given one plastic bag with a raw fish poke bowl on the bottom and boiling miso soup, on top, in a quickly warping plastic container not meant for hot soup (unlike those tall ones you get from Chinese take out). Not safe for multiple reasons and it burnt my hands trying to seperate the two in my car. I also noticed how small the soup container was. The menu said it was 16oz of miso soup. I got home and poured it straight into my measuring cup and it wasn't even 10oz! Hopefully they can take this feedback and improve but I...

The owner is a wonderful person, we know because we're family. Oh just opened a couple of months ago, and we told her we'd get up here soon. I wish we had come sooner because the food is AMAZING! My partner had chicken fried rice, and I had New York strip steak and fried rice. I was blown away by how good the rice and steak were. I also had a coconut smoothie.. DELICIOUS!! There are so many Bubble tea and smoothie drink options. The prices are very reasonable, too.

The restaurant is very clean and open and Oh and her staff are wonderful. We're definitely looking forward to visiting again...

The first time me and my boyfriend wanted to try this place, we showed up and they had JUST closed, we thought that’s okay, we have tomorrow and next time we’ll pay attention to the hours ! However I’m assuming it’s the owner that came outside to ask if we wanted something to drink and we greatly accepted. That was the BEST passion fruit milk tea I’ve EVER had. Quality AND quantity !!
