Hive Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Shelby

I went to this place for the first time last week after trying to find my go-to place ever since I moved down here from NYC to Shelby two years ago and I’m glad I got a chance to check it out! The inside is really nice, with various hints of the Hive Coffee name scattered throughout the shop. The staff is very friendly, and their drink choices are really good! I’m not really a a coffee fan, but I really love their regular iced coffee and I tried the Italian soda, and both were very enjoyable! Service was on point as well! I even met the owner, Emily, who was really sweet and I had a nice chat with her the other day. I can tell she really has a special bond with her staff.

Customer service and coffee quality is exceptional! I had an iced americano with salted honey cold foam and it seriously is the best coffee I’ve gotten in this area in YEARS. Ren is a wonderful barista, from making drinks to being well informed about products their customer service was top notch. I love supporting local business and am happy to hear they use locally roasted coffee beans in their drinks. This place is sooo cute, I could live in here. The rest of Shelby that we experienced was pretty ick, so I might actually just stay in here next time unless anyone has other suggestions around 😂

The coffee was amazing. Love that they have several seasonal specials to choose from. The only downside is that there wasn't a menu (or maybe someone else in line was holding a paper copy so I never saw it)... I would have gotten an acai bowl if I would have known!!
