Creekside Clock Seafood and Steakhouse — Restaurant in Shelby

I went to get dinner for my elderly father and two of his elderly neighbors I went in at 2:20 and placed an order for three seafood platters and asked if it would be a problem if they waited 30 minutes before fixing the food because I needed to pick up a few items from the store for my father and I would come back. The lady that took my order (pink shirt) assured me that wouldnt be a problem. I walked back in the door at 3:01 and rang the bell to let the staff know I was back and a grey haired man wearing glasses said it would be about 5 more minutes. 20 minutes after that, the lady wearing the pink shirt that originally took my order said they are getting your order together now, it was 3:25. At 3:40, still no food and I asked the grey haired man had they forgotten about my order and he said no, I don't think so. I explained that I placed the order at 2:20 and came back at 3:01 and its now 3:40! The whole time my elderly father waiting in the car, I had to go out and check on him several times. They finally came to the conclusion that they had given my order to someone else! It was now 3:50. After telling me 5 more minutes, they are getting your order together and LOOKING at me sitting in the waiting area the whole time. I asked to speak to a manager, who turned out to be the grey haired man and he simply said "ma'am, I'm sorry". I left at 3:59. they did absolutely nothing to try to fix their error and I had to go SOMEWHERE else to get food! Needless to say, I or anyone else in my family will ever go back to...

This was my first time here. The service was good and fast. The waitress was very attentive. The restaurant was nice and quiet. The restroom was clean. Most of my food was pretty good, but I couldn't really taste or see real cheese in the mac & and cheese, but it still tasted ok. The ribs were good and falling off the bone. The fried okra was perfect. The hushpuppies were thin and crispy just like i like them.The only thing I didn't really like about this place was that you have to get in line and order as soon as you enter before you are seated. If you are a regular customer, you probably already know the menu or know what you want. But a brand new customer doesn't really have time to go over the whole menu and decide without holding up the line. Once we ordered and were seated, we had a chance to look over the menu while we waited on our food and we saw some really good deals and combination s we would of much rather had to be able to test out more of what they had to offer.....Update, its been a few weeks since my last visit here we went back and I got a seafood platter, it's enough food for 3 people, way too much for one person. It had had perch, whitefish, shrimp ,oysters, deviled crab,fries, hush puppies ,coleslaw . Everything had very large portions. Just like last time waitress was fast and efficient....

Not too many places you can go and get top sirloin that is tender and full of flavor no matter how you want it cooked. Creekside is known for their good steaks, and for good reason! The reason I gave 4 stars for service is because mom an I wanted steak, and the Thursday special was top sirloin. We did not know this until ordering. Our server suggested the special but didn't tell us we wouldn't be getting the same number of sides it usually comes with, so we ended up paying extra. Another word's we got the special for full price practically. Which was fine, but I'm not a big eater and would have left a side off. So ask questions if your server doesn't explain the differences on the specials. The ranch dressing needed more buttermilk in it, and the homemade sour cream gives a tartar sauce taste/consistency and not much of a sour cream flavor at all. Would these things deter me in choosing Creekside...
