Firehouse Subs Shelby — Restaurant in Shelby

I come here a lot. Like sometimes 4-5 days a week.

It’s absurd that I have a simple request and it can’t be honored. I order “Small Hook & Ladder, add banana peppers, add EXTRA JALAPEÑOS.

I have been to this store 4 times in the last 2 weeks. 3 times they completely ignored my request, and at most I was granted one jalapeño pepper on my sub. The one time they gave me extra jalapeños, they just decided to not put onion on it. Not to mention there’s barely any lettuce and it’s poorly made.

This place USED to be amazing and even the manager made sure my sub was always made right. I’m disappointed. A once often repeat customer, I’m not coming back. Not when I spend $10 for a meal and it’s a sloppy mess and not made right at least most of the time.

Y’all have really lost a loyal customer. I would be thrilled if someone reached out to me on this and corrected these...

Folks must hire the bottom of the barrel here. It’s really difficult to screw up making a sandwich.

I mean, bread, ham, veggies, cheese. What else?

Oh yeah I almost forgot. Enough slop poured on top to make the bread so soggy by the time it gets delivered that it’s like bread pudding or uncooked French toast and need to eat the sandwich with a knife & fork.

Simply brilliant how anyone can screw up a sandwich.

REPLY to Firehouse: It seems that there are a lot of negative reviews of your store. It also seems that instead of apologizing for each bad review, as corrective action you might rather try better hiring and training of employees and perhaps it will lessen the negative reviews. So far, whatever you are doing (or not doing) to address the problems, is not working. Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting it to change...

This place is expensive, for what it is. $34 for three medium sub combo ( pretty small). The counter staff is rude. I had mentioned that I had never been at a firehouse sub. After I placed my order it dawned on me that she didn’t ask about what we wanted on our sub, so I go back up to the counter to make sure my subs are all coming plain, no veggie, no condiments. The order taker told me that I should have told her I wanted my sandwiches plain, when I ordered. I told her she should have asked how I wanted my sandwiches, Especially after I told her I had never been there before. The sandwiches were very small for the price and she “ upgraded” all my drinks to a large, without asking. I will not return...
